Despicable Me 2
Well you must of already read my review of the first Despicable Me movie and I say the same for this move except I think this one is really better. What's the story? Gru is back and so are his 3 girls, Margo, Edith and Agnes. As well as the minions and Dr Nefario. But now he's being assigned by a league called the "Anti-villain-league" which tries to stop any villain like acts on earth. The head of the league is "Mr Silas Ramsbottom." Ha-ha, Rams"bottom", get it? And Gru's new partner is "Lucy Wilde." They're trying to find a stolen serum called the "PX-41" which is a transformation serum which makes who ever drinks it look like a big purple, hairy looking Hulk thing. They then begin looking for it at a mall where Gru think one of the shop owners is an old villain named "El Macho" who has a hilarious backstory. But everyone thinks he's wrong until it turns out he is El Macho and he did steal the PX-41 he's kidnapping Gru's minion to give them the serum to make them his servants. And the rest again is petty obvious. Gru stops him and he and Lucy get together. So what's good about this movie? Well for one thing the characters are the same as before and the cast do such hilarious voice acting. And believe it or not but I actually think the minions get more screen time in this and their more funny. The animation is still impressive especially the amount of gadgets that Gru and Lucy have. And also this movie came out the same year Frozen did and yeah Frozen is still by far the best movie from that year. There's also a subplot about Margo having a boyfriend that really doesn't go anywhere and yeah I think it was pretty pointless. But still this movie still has the really likable characters we love, a very cleaver set-up and an environment that feel very natural when you really think about it. And it's much better than the first film and funnier. I'd say look at but I'd say start with the 1st one first if you haven't yet.

Despicable Me
This one is a bit different from the other reviews seeing how this one isn't from Disney but I just thought I should do it anyway and I'm running out of ideas on what to put on this blog. I'm going to be review for his and the 2nd one too. And then after that I'm going to do reviews for Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run and Ice Age. But for now let's just do this one, Despicable Me. What's the story? There's an evil villain named "Gru" who does plot to take over the world everyday with his "Dr Nefario" and his hilarious bunch of 100000 of little yellow thing minions. But one day he decides his latest plan is going to be to steal the moon but one of his rival steals this idea and his machine to shrink the moon. So to get it back he adopts 3 little girls named "Margo, Edith and Agnes" to get the machine back by selling the guy robot cookies and retrieving it. And I'm pretty sure you can guess the rest. Gru tries to eventually get rid of the girls because he doesn't need them anymore but he realises that they are actually important to him and he becomes a good guy in the end and they become a family. Let's look at what good about this movie. For one thing the characters are pretty good and there's a lot of funny lines out of them. But also that's also because of the actors they got to play these characters especially Steve Carell as Gru and he's actually one of my favourite comedians. He's done other characters like Hammy from Over the Hedge and other things like that. The minions are also funny. They don't even talk properly, they make a kind of "blah" or screaming noises that are hilarious to listen to. Also, the animation in this is actually really creative and pretty different from any kind I've ever seen. The character designs themselves are pretty unique. I actually would of put this along with it's sequel on my top 10 favourite films but I just didn't think about it when I was making the list. So I guess the last thing I could say I that I do think this is a really, really good movie and I would definitely recommend it.
