My top 5 Yu Yu Hakusho characters

So, I'm hoping to do more of these top lists of my favourite characters from different animes. The last entry I did was my favourite characters in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, and this is continuing that. While I've before who my favourite character in this series is, I think it's only fair to talk about my other four favourites. Plus, I feel like I should talk about my other favourites considering they might surprise ya. i was even a little bit surprised at myself because when I thought about it, I thought of one order for this list, but then when I thought about it again, I decided to do it another way. And, really, given how I've spoken about this series before in various ways, I think it's about time I really did talk about all of these like this. And so, let's begin and I hope you all like this.
5. Toguro:
Starting us off at number 5 is the younger Toguro brother and my personal favourite villain of the whole series. I made an entry recently about my favourite villains from different anime franchises and I put Toguro as my favourite from this series. And everything I said there is still true now. He's really cool and I love his personality and cold look on everything. And, really, his actions led to Yusuke and the others to taking part in the Dark Tournament and his fight with Yusuke in the final round was easily the height of the entire series. Just everything to do with him is really cool to watch.
4. Genkai:
Next up is Yusuke's Spirit mentor, Genkai. After passing her test the first time, Yusuke became her student. And while this old mentor may be mean at times like always insulting Yusuke and never seeming like she gives him a break, you can definitely feel the respect they have for each other and that's reflected really well throughout the whole show. Plus, she's just a great character in her own right with wanting to do the right thing, but most of the things in life feel like they kinda get on her nerves and she acts like a cranky woman as a result. And I love the dynamic that she has with the rest of the characters as well, especially after she dies and everyone is just devastated afterwards. You can really feel everyone's connection to her and it's really heart-breaking. I know she comes back, but still. Overall, she's probably my favourite mentor character Yoshihiro Togashi has created.
3. Yusuke:
At number 3 is the main Spirit Detective himself, Yusuke Urameshi. While not exactly one of my top 5 anime protagonists of all time, Yusuke is still an incredible character in his own right. After getting hit by a car and brought back to life, he's assigned as a Spirit Detective. And, from there, we see numerous things happen to him along with an interesting exploring of him as a character who's kinda tragic given how he grew up. But Yusuke is also just super cool and awesome regardless. After years of being a delinquent, this helped him in his constant fights, which came in handy later on with is fights with demons. Really, Yusuke is a fantastic protagonist and a pretty underrated one in my opinion.
2. Kurama:
Coming in close to number 1 is the fox demon, Kurama. After having to hide in the human world by putting his spirit in the body of a new born child and has spent the years since with a human family. And he desired to live a normal life because he felt his family, especially his mother, was really good to him. But when she became ill, he teamed up with Hiei and Goki to steal the artefacts needed to help her. Afterwards, he formed a team with Yusuke, Kuwabara and Hiei to take on other evil demons. And, while he may be the nicest and peaceful of the team, don't let that fool ya because if anyone threatens him or anyone he cares about, he won't hesitate to kill them in really brutal ways. But he is still likeable and fun at the end of the day.
And my number 1 favourite Yu Yu Hakusho character is... Hiei:
And finally at number 1 is the most cynical demon you'll ever see, Hiei. I know I mentioned this in my review of the series, but I guess I just wanted to go into more detail here. While you could make the argument that he's pretty much just like Vegeta considering they both look and act exactly the same, I think Hiei has a lot more going on given his backstory of being a child to forbidden love between an ice and fire demon which led to the women of the ice kingdom to throwing him off their floating island when he was a baby and afterwards, he vowed to get revenge. And I love how even though we don't spend a lot of time on that subplot, it's still really interesting and just everything he's done in the series since his introduction has been fantastic and interesting. Like some other secondary characters like him, I don't think the series would be what it really is without him. I also love Chuck Huber's performance as Hiei. He perfectly captures the cold and cynical side to him while still adding all the other emotions to make him extremely likeable and cool. And, Hiei's fight scenes are some of the coolest in the series. A lot of that has to do with the awesome abilities he has like being immune to fire and ice attacks while still having fire attacks and being a master swordsman. And his use of things like the Dragon Of The Darkness Flame is really cool. Really, Hiei is just one of the many things that make the series for me. And all that is why Hiei is my favourite character in Yu Yu Hakusho. And so, everyone, those are my picks for my top 5 Yu Yu Hakusho characters. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.

My top 10 Yu-Gi-Oh! GX characters

So, a few years ago, I made a list of my top 10 favourite characters from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series. So now, I'm doing a similar one with doing my top 10 favourite characters from GX. I recently rewatched a bit of GX and decided I wanted to talk about it more. I doubt I'll do one for 5D's because I don't remember that much about most of the side characters in that and I don't think there's enough characters to make a proper list anyway, but I do want to do more about these shows. I'm thinking I'll be doing another series of anime reviews soon because ever since I finished the last one, I've seen a lot more and so I want to talk about them, including these two. But, for now, I'm just gonna be talking about my top 10 Yu-Gi-Oh! GX characters. And so, let's begin and I hope you all like this.
10. Blair:
Starting us off at number 10 is this young duelist. Originally introduced as a girl with a crush on Zane, she snuck onto the island of Duel Academy to get close to him, until she developed a crush on Jaden and then finally officially joined Duel Academy later on and became friends with Marcel. She was also with the others in Season 3 when they were all transported to the other dimension by Yubel and she did everything she could to help out however way she could. Whether by trying to save Marcel after Yubel possessed him or helping Jaden reached Yubel for their duel.
9. Syrus:
Next up is Jaden's best friend and Zane's younger brother, Syrus Truesdale. When we first saw him, he was nothing but a wimp who couldn't play Duel Monsters all that well. That is until he met Jaden and his confidence began to slowly increase. As the series continued, he was able to make it to the Ra Yellow Dorm, and then later he made it all the way up to Obelisk Blue. But, more than that, when they went to the other dimension, he was able to do a lot by himself like when he ran off by himself and he was able to help Ojama Yellow which led to him helping out some of the others later on. But I also like his interactions with the others, especially him and Jaden considering the two of them became best friends when they first met.
8. Bastion:
This brainiac is one of the longest running characters in the series. Being one of the first friends Jaden meets when he begins Duel Academy, Bastion prefers to use his brain more often than not to win duels. This has led to him making multiple decks for any duel and being the one who helped them escape form the other dimension as well as figure out what would happen if Yubel succeeded in her plan. He also helped encourage Jaden after he was racked with guilt after becoming the Supreme King.
7. Hassleberry:
The half human, half dinosaur student is at number 7. Introduced in Season 2, Hassleberry has dinosaur DNA in his body and is a huge dinosaur expert as well as having a dinosaur themed deck. He's also a military like guy who refers to some of the characters, especially Jaden, as Sarge. And at times, like in Season 3, his dinosaur DNA can sorta cause him to act like a real one. While, he may seem kinda silly at times, I like his devotion to the others like Jaden, who he has a lot of respect for.
6. Alexis:
Another one of Jaden's original friends, Alexis was first seen always around Zane, like she had a crush on him, but then she began hanging out with Jaden and the others more. Her original goal was to find out what happened to her brother, Atticus, but she was eventually able to find him after he was brainwashed. Plus, you could almost say there was a relationship building between her and Jaden a little bit. And she was constantly encouraging the others when they were down as well, but then she and some of the others were marked in the other dimension which led to them doubting Jaden and thinking he was to blame for all the bad things happening.
5. Axel:
Now we're getting into characters introduced in Season 3, one of the transfer students brought to Duel Academy, Axel was being tricked by Viper into challenging Jaden to collect Duel Energy for Yubel. After he found out though, he did everything he could to stop him and became friends with the others. He would help them when they were trying to survive in the dimension and then when he went with the others to the dimension again, he helped in a lot of ways like when he supported the town that the Supreme King was trying to invade and Axel was the one who saved Jaden from the Supreme King by sacrificing himself.
4. Jim:
This crocodile lover was another transfer student first seen in Season 3. As a small boy, he was always around his pet crocodile, Sherly, who he's always carrying around, and was given the Eye Of Orichalcum after he saved her. Ever since, he's been able to use it to see the true nature of anyone he meets. He also didn't have much time to spend with Jaden and the others, but did build a strong relationship with all of them, and this was shown in particular when he tried to defeat the Supreme King and save Jaden. He may have lost, but he did still help Axel when he was trying to help him too.
3. Yubel:
So, this should really come as no surprise. I've mentioned Yubel in two other entries before this and everything I've said before still stands. Overall, just a really awesome character and villain with having a cool design, cool voice and cool personality. And her plan in season 3 is a lot of fun to watch play out, with using Viper into get her her powers back, transporting Duel Academy to the other dimension, having Jaden turn into the Supreme King and so much more. And all this is before she showed her true self after her first duel against Jaden while possessing Jesse's body. It's also cool to see she was connected to Jaden from his childhood and also from the previous person Jaden is the reincarnation of. A lot of the terrible things she does should also go to show just how crazy she is and how enjoyable she is. But it was cool when Jaden helped her turn good again and she became another spirit for him.
2. Jesse:

Coming in close to number 1 is the transfer student with the Crystal Beast deck, Jesse. After transferring to Duel Academy, he and Jaden immediately hit it off as great friends with having so much in common like loving duelling and being able to see duel spirits. And the reason he's so high up on the list is because of just how likeable he is. He's a great friend like when he first meets Jaden and the two of them have a great dynamic together and his past involving the Crystal Beasts choosing him is really cool. Not to mention the fact that it was Pegasus who gave them to him in the first place. And, throughout the whole third season, he was just so much fun to watch. That is until Yubel possessed him as well as Marcel. He did take a leave of absence for a while after that until Jaden was able to save him. But everything about him in the third season, in my opinion, is really enjoyable.
And my number 1 favourite Yu-Gi-Oh! GX character is... Jaden:
And finally at number 1 is the biggest slacker in Duel Academy himself, Jaden Yuki. Jaden may seem like another Shonen Jump protagonist with being dumb and only one interest in life, but I think what helps separate him from some of the others is that his development as a character is somewhat different from them like how the first two seasons has him being the super happy and optimistic kid who's an expert at Duelling, that is until Season 3 where things begin to change. Not only does Jaden go through some really tragic things, but some of it can be seen as his fault and he has to live with a lot of that guilt. After becoming obsessed with finding and saving Jesse, he was blind to everyone else around him who were trying to help him. This helps him mature later on and we see him show that afterwards like after he's freed from the Supreme King's control, he does still try to save Jesse, but he's also trying to stop Yubel from uniting the twelve dimensions together, even going so far as to almost sacrifice himself to and to help her. And, even though I haven't seen it, I know what happens with him in Season 4 with him deciding to leave Duel Academy to go out into the world, especially since he has Professor Banner and Yubel as spirits he's able to talk to. And, really, overall, I mainly like him because, yes, he is fun to watch and is a likeable character, but also because he does change later on and he doesn't have the exact same kinda story as other happy-go-lucky Shonen Jump protagonists and he does have a fun story to watch. And all that is why Jaden is my favourite character in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX character. And so, everyone, those are my picks for my top 10 Yu-Gi-Oh! GX characters. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.

Justice League Snyder Cut trailer

So, yesterday, we were shown the new trailer for the Snyder Cut of Justice League. A couple of months ago, we were shown a bit of teaser for it, but this a real trailer and, yeah, it does look pretty cool. The main thing I like about this is that we get to see Darkseid in it properly and he does look pretty cool, although a little weird. Like, some of the C.G.I on him does look odd. But I'm still hoping to see a good bit of him. Whether or not I'm actually able to watch this is tough because I don't have HBO Max, and I don't exactly want to get it for something like this, but I might see it in some way at some point. Anyway, some other cool looking things in this, we get to see Superman in the black costume, which is pretty cool, and at the end, we se Joker with Batman. That actually is pretty cool because we've never seen this version of Batman and Joker together, so I'm hoping we'll see a little bit of that dynamic. Though, I will admit, another worry I have about this movie is the fact that, recently, Wonder Woman 1984 was really bad, plus there's also the fact that the original version of this movie wasn't good either. So, I guess I'm cautiously optimistic, if I haven't said that already at some point. Anyway, here it is and I hope you all like this.

My Kingdom Hearts 3 Aqua Bring Arts figure (Review)

So, the other day, my Bring Arts figure for Aqua arrived which means I've officially started collecting the Bring Arts figures for the Wayfinder Trio. It's really cool to be getting more of these and just cool to be getting more of the figures from Kingdom Hearts 3. Now that I have her, all I need left are Ven and Terra and I'm excited to get them soon at some point. But, yeah, I was really glad to get her and be adding her to my collection of other Bring Arts. There was a it of her, mainly her hands, that may have had a bit of a default, but thankfully I was able to get her to hold her Keyblade. I'm always worried about that whenever I get a new figure that they won't be able to hold their weapons. But this one did thankfully. Anyway, here it is and I hope you all like this.

The Falcon And The Winter Soldier: Season 1 trailer

So, yesterday, we got the first proper trailer for The Falcon And The Winter Soldier Disney+ show. It's honestly really exciting to see this because the WandaVision show has already started and I'm watching it at the moment and this is a show I'm looking forward to a lot more. The show is looking like it's taking a lot of inspiration from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. And given how that's my favourite Captain America movie and one of my favourites in the MCU, that's really exciting to me. Anthony Mackey and Sebastian Stan both still look perfect in these role as they always have and we even get to see Zemo again. We also see him with his mask on, so that's pretty cool. Overall, this trailer just left me even more excited and I'm really looking forward to it dropping when it does. And so, here it is and I hope you all like this.

5 Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood openings ranked

So, in my opinion, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood has the best openings of any anime ever. I've listened to the openings of the series over a hundred times because they're so amazing. And I usually never try to listen to anime openings that much, but this is one of the few exceptions. All the openings in Brotherhood range from pretty good to absolutely amazing. And. really, this is not only an incredible anime, but it's also an incredible anime with fantastic openings and the best openings out of any anime I know. So, I decided to do a ranking of the five openings in the whole series. I'm doing this in particular because, like I said, I listen to them a lot, especially recently. And I really wanted to talk about all of these. And so, let's begin and I hope you all like this.
5. Golden Time Lover:
Starting us off at number 5 is actually the third opening for the series, Golden Time Lover. The reason this one is the lowest of them all is because, in my opinion, while it's good and I enjoy it for what it is, I mean these openings are always great to listen to, this one is just the least special in my opinion.  It's got some cool visuals and the song is nice to listen to, but in terms of both those aspects in this one, this is just my least favourite. I don't find the song as enjoyable as these others and there's not as much action in this one compared to the others. Still though, it's a really good opening regardless. I especially love the part where Ed just stands up and looks at the Homunculi. And, really, the opening is still good, it's just not as good as these others in my opinion.
4. Hologram:
Next up is the second opening, Hologram. This one's a little bit similar the last one in terms of what I said, but I like it a lot more because I think the song's much better and there's a lot of really great shots in this like towards the middle with Ed and Hohenheim in front of Trish's grave or Scar standing in the fire or Father holding a glass with what looks like a Philosopher's Stone. I also really like the part showing Ling and Lan Fan vs. Wrath and Ed vs. Scar. Plus, the song itself must be really liked by the crew itself considering they use this song again at the very end of the series during the end credits of the last episode with that montage showing those photos.
3. Again:
At number 3 is the first opening of the series, Again. Another opening title sequence that's really cool to watch, I love how this one starts off kinda slow and quiet at first and it kinda stays that way until about halfway through when it's just fast and loud with a lot of cool shots and sequences of the characters just doing different moves and fighting. And the whole thing is mostly just showing Ed and the other characters on his side fighting the Homunculi. And the final shot with Ed and Al in the distance and we see their shadows stretching is really cool too. Really, I just think this is a great opening to start off the series.
2. Rain:
Coming in close to number 1 is actually the last opening of the series and the one that I said was my favourite for the longest time until fairly recently. The reason this is at number 2 now and not number 1 like in my top 10 anime openings list is because, for one, I've actually been listening to a lot of the English versions of these songs and I think I might actually prefer that version over the Japanese, and, also, because I just like my number 1 pick a bit more. Still though, this opening and song is still incredible. The visuals perfectly capture the fact that this is really the final battle of the series and the rain around everyone helps show a bit of the desperation that's on display as well, especially the faces the characters make. And, I also love the part at the very beginning with Ed and Al looking at Central. I think that's just an awesome shot. And, like I don't think I necessarily like this opening as much as when I did my top 10 anime openings, it's still amazing and one of my favourites ever.
1. Period:
And finally at number 1 is the fourth opening of the series. Like I was saying with the last one, I've been listening to a lot of these openings recently and when listening to this one in particular a lot, I just decided I liked this one more, even though it was a little hard choosing which one I liked more. But, in the end, I chose Period. For one thing, like I was saying with the last one, I've been listening to the English versions of these songs on YouTube done by some random people, but, for this one, I prefer the original Japanese version. The main reason I love this is the same the last one. I just love how fast and awesome visuals of it is as well as just how incredible the music accompanies it. And the song itself is just awesome with it being so fast and it fits the scenery so well and it's all just so energetic and so great to listen to. And it's placed in perfect times like the part with Ed and Al vs. Pride or Greed against Wrath or Lan Fan and Fuu vs. Envy. I also love the shot of Ed and Al standing on a transmutation circle with their fists clenched like they're holding something. But there's other cool shots in the opening too like the part where May appears in front of Al and when Winry appears in front of Ed and then all their allies surround them. And just about everything to do with this opening is perfect and I can easily say that this is my all time favourite anime opening ever. I know that's changed since I did my top 10 anime openings a few years ago, but I'm saying this as of right now. And all that is why Period is my favourite Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood opening. And so everyone, that was my ranking of the five Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood openings. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.

My Kingdom Hearts 2 Donald SH Figure (Review)

And so, everyone, I got a new Kingdom Hearts figure yesterday, the SH figure of Donald. It's in the same set as the SH figure of Sora and Goofy that I already have and did reviews for as well. I'm really glad to have the entire Classic trio together like this and really just glad I have both Donald and Goofy in their regular looks as figures. I already have ones for Sora from Kingdom Hearts 1, 2 and 3, so it's cool to have the two of them to go along with the three versions of him. And, really, it's just cool to be getting more of these figures. I actually have the Bring Arts figure for Aqua coming which means I'll be beginning the Bring Arts line-up for the Wayfinder Trio. So, that's really cool. As for this for now, I was even able to get a lot of really cool photos with this one along with a lot of the other ones I have and I including them in this video. And so, here it is and I hope you all like this.
