My top 5 anime protagonists

One of the best, if not maybe the best part of every anime is the main character. And as I've been talking a lot about anime lately, I thought I would count down my top 5 favourite protagonists in animes. And so, let's begin.
5. Goku:

Starting us off is maybe the most iconic anime character of all time, Goku. Being born a Saiyan named Kakarrot on the planet Vegeta, he was sent to Earth to eliminate every single human being. But after an accident that caused him to lose his memory, he was led to believe that he was always on Earth and was a nice and kind guy. Now standing a Z fighter and family man, he's always ready for a fight whenever it comes to save the world and the people he cares for. Also, we can't help but love that appetite of his.
4. Natsu:

At number 4 is Natsu from Fairy Tail. Being orphaned a child, he never knew his parents but was instead taken in by a dragon named Igneel. While spending a long time with him, Igneel taught him everything he knows on Fire Dragon Slaying magic. But after one day when Igneel disappeared, Natsu has made a decision to one day find him. After joining the Fairy Tail guild, he then met Lucy and the two of them along with Gray, Erza and Happy joined the same team. Now currently my favourite character in the show, I can't help but love him and he has some of funniest scenes in the show too.
3. Ed:

Next up the tiny little alchemist himself, Ed.

Sorry. But still, Ed has risen to become one of the most popular anime protagonists of all time. After his father left him, his mother and his brother when he was still a kid, they were by themselves until his mother died. After that, he and Al did everything they could to bring her back but it cost them dearly. Al lost his whole body and Ed lost his right arm and left leg. Now he's the Fullmetal Alchemist and will do whatever it takes to get their bodies back to normal. And absolutely everyone loves his reaction when ya call him short.

2. Sonic:

This might seem a bit weird to a lot of you, but if you remember, I told all of you before that Sonic was made into a few TV shows and the only one that was technically an anime, Sonic X. And that still kinda jumbles around. I can't decide which anime is my number 1 all time favourite. It goes back and forth between Sonic X, Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist. But anyway, Sonic is at number 2 and I would say, out of the characters so far, I think Sonic might be the most fun out of all of them. He's always been like that. A sorta fast talking, one liner spewing, smart-aleck character 24/7. Really, no matter what he says, I always sorta feel like he's trying to sound cool and funny. And that really works. I get a lot of inspiration from him. He's also a great hero too in my opinion.

And my number 1 favourite anime protagonist is... Naruto:

A lot of you most likely saw this coming, but yeah, my favourite anime character is Naruto. I was originally going to out Sonic at number 1, but after doing some thinking about it, I just thought I'd put Naruto at number 1. Really, if you want to know what my thought on him are, then I would suggest reading my top 10 Naruto characters if you haven't yet. To make it a little shorter than that, I just think he's incredible and a really inspirational character. And, while not my favourite character to come from Japan, if you all know what I mean, I still love him. He's fantastic and very sympathetic. Just the sheer friendliness he has and care for others is really something to admire. And hey, maybe when I watch more of the Boruto series, maybe he'll become another one of my favourite anime protagonists. And so yeah, those are my top 5 anime protagonists. My paintings of Lion King 2 characters

So, kinda strange thing here, but recently I showed my Lion Guard paintings to some other Lion King and Guard fans on Facebook and they liked them and one comment I got on it suggested something that gave me an idea and that was to do paintings of characters from the Lion King 2. And so I did them and here they are. Some were kinda hard to do and some of the colours aren't exactly right but I did the best I could. And so here they are. Iron Fist: Season 1

Iron Fist is the newest M.C.U Netflix show after Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. I've watched, reviewed and loved all three of these and with another Defender about to be introduced into the M.C.U, I was really excited. So, let's talk about this. And yes, there will be spoilers, so if you haven't watched it yet, do and then read this. So, as I just said, I was really excited for this. Not only do I love the M.C.U, but I also love this Netflix corner of it. And so, did this show totally exceed my expectation? Well, not exactly. I liked it fine, but, yeah, like everyone else who's watched this show and reviewed it, I thought this was a mix-bag too. This is the first thing in the M.C.U that's been considered bad. That honestly surprised me when I started watching it, but when I started and kept going, it was starting to go up and down for me. I still liked it and I thought it was fine, but, wow, I could not believe the result of this. The story in this is so off and on. That's probably my biggest thought on it. I think it was really off and on. So basically, the main story, I guess, is that Danny Rand, played by Finn Jones, has returned to New York after being in a monastery called K'un-Lun for fifteen years. He wants to go back to his former company but no one's believing it's really him because he's been gone for so long and he sounds like a crazy person. He meets a friend named Colleen Wing, played by Jessica Henwick, who runs her own dojo and they're ideals seem to be the same. Also, the Rand company is being run by Danny's old friends named Joy and Ward who are siblings. And most of the show is that. Dealing with this company. That's probably my biggest problem. The fact that it seems like the show's main storyline is this company. Which is, well, boring. There's a lot of time dedicated to this Rand company and it's pretty boring. Also, Harold Meachum, who is Joy and Ward's father, who everyone thinks is dead, is actually not dead and the only person who know about this is Ward. So he goes to where he is every once in a while. And this builds up the character of him. Harold becomes a serious villain. And that's another sub-plot that was kinda boring. And whenever they do go back to that, you really just want to go back to Danny and Colleen because that's the best part about this show. That story with the two of them. Easily and no doubt about it. And the other best part is the Hand. Yeah, the Hand is back. If you remember, the Hand was in Daredevil: Season 2 and Madame Gao is back too. Another character that's back is Claire. She's been in every single M.C.U Netflix show meeting the other heroes and she's back. And that's great. It's great seeing her back like this in my opinion. And Hogarth is back too. She was that woman in Jessica Jones and seeing her back is the same. It's great to see her again and helping Danny. But, as I said, they keep going away from that to focus on this company that's boring and almost kinda hard to understand. Let's talk about the cast because that was something hasn't been getting very good reception too. Some of it is really good and some is not. Firstly, Finn Jones as Danny. He's received a lot of negativity because of his performance. And while his performance does have problems, I would say it's not his fault. The biggest problem with him is the writing. He spends way too much time telling people how he's the Iron Fist. That was too much. But his performance for the most part I do think is good, but the writing for him is not good. It's also shown that the character that he's playing is not compelling is the slightest. He seems pretty bland. Not all the time, but, yeah, it does get bland too at times. But, in my opinion, the best character and best actor in this whole show is Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing. She was fantastic in this show in my opinion she had the best action scenes. She has a very tortured and tragic backstory. And the biggest twist with her is that it turns out she's with the Hand but she thinks she's doing good in it when it's not doing any kind of good. She's definitely the best character in the show, without a doubt. The rest of cast can be really good and there are a lot of really good acting, but once or twice, the rest can be pretty bland too. But I think the rest do do try their best they can with what they're given. Although some of the character's actions at times are very predictable. Especially Bakuto. He's Colleen's old sensei and when it was shown that he's a villain, I totally saw it coming. I didn't predict he would be with the Hand, but I could tell that he was going to be a villain. Let's also talk about the action because that's some else that has received a lot of negativity. Firstly, I would say, the editing on it could be better. As well as some of the camerawork during those scenes and the choreography. That's the biggest thing. The choreography during these action scenes could be much better. Another thing with these scenes is the stunt doubles. Whenever Finn Jones is replaced with a stunt double, you can easily tell when he is. I would say the action is fine I guess, which isn't good enough. We all know the action in the previous Netflix shows were all fantastic. Especially in Daredevil: Season 2. Here, at times it's good and others, it just fine or even terrible. Another problem with that is the fact that Danny doesn't use the fist a lot. Every once in a while he will, but, man, for a show called Iron Fist, there isn't a lot of it and it can get boring when he doesn't. So yeah, this show does have a lot of flaws and there are some episodes that are dragged, but, that's kinda the same for all of the other Netflix shows. Because they all have thirteen episodes, they have to put in some filler and some episodes in all the shows are kinda dragged. Which is kinda boring at times. But, I would say for all the flaws in the show, if you really want to watch the show, wait until episode 6. Episode 6 is really fantastic in my opinion. That's when the show really does pick up. Also, I think that the best episode in the whole show is either 12 or 13. Those two episodes were absolutely amazing. Really fantastic in my opinion. The stories in them were really good and they were suspenseful and really great. Especially the ending of episode 13. Where Danny is having his last fight with Harold and Ward saves him. And the twist where it's revealed that K'un-Lun is gone, I thought was really good and it had my guessing. I would say that this is the weakest of all the Netflix M.C.U shows. It's not bad in my opinion. There are bad things in it. But I don't think it's bad. I think the Rotten Tomato score for it is too low. It got a 17%. That means people think it's on the same level as Batman & Robin and Fant4stic. That's not true. That is far from true. The show is much better than that. I heard that the critics who said that either watched the first episode or up to episode 5 or 6. That's not fair. Come on. They should have watched all of it and then did their reviews. Sure, there are flaws like I said. The main character is not the best. He could be written much better. I mean, maybe if they got some other actor, maybe it would have been better. I think Finn Jones did do a good job, but I would say this is the first time in all of the M.C.U where the casting of the main character hasn't been perfect and I'm talking about all of the M.C.U. They've always done a great job with that. Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Charlie Cox, Tom Holland and of course, the great Robert Downey Jr. Here though, not really. The writing for him could be much better. I would say that's what keeping it away from him doing a great performance. And so, that's my review of Iron Fist: Season 1. Give this show a chance. I would say go watch it, but wait until episode 6 to get going. This show is not as bad as people are saying. And I'm hoping for the Defenders, Danny is written better and the performance is better. Speaking of which, I'm really excited for the Defenders later this year. It's my most anticipated show of the year and I can't wait for all of the Netflix heroes to meet each other. My top 10 Naruto characters

So a few days ago, I made a top 10 favourite Kingdom Hearts characters list. And so here, I'm making a top 10 favourite Naruto characters. Like the Kingdom Hearts one, you already know who my number 1 is. But I thought it would be a good idea to know my other 9 favourites. Also, I won't be including the Boruto characters because I think that would be better another time. I'm also not including any of the new characters from the movies either. So, let's begin and I hope you all like this.
10. Kiba:

Starting us up is the half human, half dog ninja, Kiba. A very entertaining and almost pretty funny character at times, this show-off is one not to be taken too likely. Always being with his dog Akamaru, the two of them make a great team and a deadly one. But also, just the character himself is really fun and entertaining.
9. Sakura:

At number 9 is maybe the most controversial character in the whole series, Sakura. While definetly and undeniably kinda annoying and a little useless and not always nice, she's still gained a cult following and more viewers are liking her more. While she originally only thought about getting together with Sasuke, after he left and after watching how much Naruto had progressed, she became the pupil of the fifth Hokage. When she learned about how deep down Sasuke had gone, she then had a thought to kill him but was unsuccessful. Finally with him back, all of them went back to normal. She's also very skilled in strength, healing jutsu and huge fighting skills. And yes, while still kinda annoying and mean to Naruto, she's still gotten better and become a more likable character.
8. Hinata:

Next up is the best female character in the whole show in my opinion and Naruto's future wife, Hinata. Originally a shy and quiet girl, this kunoichi has gained major popularity. As a child, she had an admire for Naruto and quickly grew a crush on him. As they got older, she decided grow up to become stronger so she could level him. Eventually as  adults, she finally got her wish and now the two are married and have kids of their own.
7. Killer Bee:

At number 7 is the first Jinchuuriki on this list, Killer Bee. Belonging to the Hidden Cloud village, Bee is the Jinchuuriki of the Eight-Tails Octopus. After fighting Sasuke, he met Naruto and the two of the became great friends. Also, this is a character who literally raps all his sentences. And while that might get annoying once or twice, but it's also kinda funny. But I think I mainly like him because he's really friendly and a really nice guy. It was also cool when he and the Raikage killed Kisame.
6. Gaara:

Once a villain turned good, this sand shinobi has the same tortured past as Naruto. Gaara was born with the One Tail, Shukaku, and was hated by everyone in the Hidden Sand and grew up angry swearing to kill nonstop. But after meeting Naruto, he had a change of heart and became one of the most likeable and caring characters in the whole series and even managed to become the Kazekage of his village too.
5. Shikamaru:

At number 5 is the smartest ninja at Naruto's age in my opinion. As a child, Shikamaru was lazy but still very smart guy. He spent the original series being a sort of lazy yet likeable and funny character at time while also being the strategist for the main mission in the original, the Sasuke Retrieval Mission. However, as he got older and after the death of Asuma, he finally grew up for real and is currently the Hokage's assistant. As well as being a father to Shikidai and husband to Temari.
4. Sasuke:

Next up is Sasuke. Maybe one of the most interesting emotionally complex characters in the whole series. When just a little boy, he was the only survivor of the Uchiha clan after his older brother killed them all. After that night, he became a really serious character and began to seek after more and more power to kill him. After leaving the village to get more power from Orochimaru, he did and eventually killed his brother. But shortly after, he was told a truth that changed his life forever. His brother was ordered to do it and was caring about him the whole time. Afterwards, he vowed vengeance on the village and began to plan to destroy it along with everyone, especially Naruto. But after the Fourth Great Ninja War and fighting Naruto one last time, he changed and is married to Sakura with their daughter Sarada. Having to deal with so much of the past, he keeps going with absolute fury and vengeance and will stop at nothing until he's completed his vengeance and whoever has wronged him is dead.
3. Itachi:

When it comes to being a sympathetic yet awesome kind of anti-hero, Itachi is the best in the whole series. Believed to originally be an evil villain and master in the Akatsuki, the main thing he was known for was being the murderer of the entire Uchiha clan. But little did everyone know that it was all a ruse for him to protect everyone, especially his little brother, Sasuke. He even started off as a promising ninja who had everything, a family, fans and skills of everything. He was still young and yet made so much progress. But after he assassinated his entire family, he went rogue and watched over everyone is secret with no one truly knowing what his intentions were the whole time.
2. Kakashi:

Next on number 2 is the most popular character in the whole series, Kakashi. Known to the ninja world as the copy ninja, Kakashi's backstory is one of great torture and loss. When he was just a kid, he lost his two best friends and gained one his friend's Sharingan. But now as an adult, he uses his Sharingan to outclass any opponent by copying their moves and hardly anyone gets past him. Also being the teacher for Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura with Squad 7, he's the one who taught at least two of them the real importance of teamwork and some amazing jutsus. Being a very cool, wise, caring and even hilarious character at times, it's easy to see why he's the most popular character in the entire series.

And finally, at number 1 is the number 1 hyperactive knucklehead ninja himself, Naruto. Just like when I talked about Sora in my top 10 Kingdom Hearts characters, it's kinda hard to explain what exactly it is about him that I haven't said before. Being present with an incredibly tragic backstory, Naruto had the Nine-Tailed Fox sealed inside him and was shunned by almost everyone in the Leaf Village. However, when he found out the truth and learned what it meant to be a real ninja and vowed to treasure his friends forever. And ever since we first met him, he's changed more and more into, not only an incredible ninja, but also an incredible character. Now serving as the seventh Hokage of the Leaf, he stands watch over all of the village and values not only his friends, but also his children. And, really the best part about him is the same I said for Sora like I just said in the sense that he's really admirable and friendly and an extremely likeable character, (while not as good as Sora in my opinion.)
