So yeah, it's officially been announced. The villain for Justice League next year. In a deleted scene of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, there was a deleted scene where we see him. But unfortunately, it's not Darkseid. It's another DC villain named Steppenwolf. At least, he's been confirmed for the first Justice League. Yeah, it's also been confirmed that the first and second Justice League movies are going to be two separate stories. Kinda like the Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron. And so hopefully in the second Justice League movie will have Darkseid in it. Anyway, in the deleted scene of Batman V Superman, we see a huge version of Steppenwolf in a ship holding 3 Mother Boxes and then he vanishes. And that's a sorta set-up to him in Justice League. This is what he looks like in the comics.
And in the Batman V Superman: Ultimate Edition he appears like this for a few seconds.
In case you don't know, the Mother Boxes are things that have unpredictable powers and at times they can heal things like people. In fact we even saw it bring Cyborg to life in Batman V Superman in that video that Diana looked at that Bruce sent her. At one point, they also healed Darkseid when he fought and lost in a fight against Doomsday. And so maybe in the Justice League movie, we'll see Steppenwolf using them. And here's the scene.
