10. Gumbo:
Starting us off is Mung's first apprentice and the character that Chowder thought was his brother for, like, 5 seconds. After one day when Mung said one tiny nick pick about his cooking, Gumbo turned insane and swore revenge. Years later, he trapped Chowder and himself by accident inside the Deadly Maze and when he had no choice, he had to have Chowder help him get out which caused him a lot of misery. Gumbo's really funny and his over reaction to things are really priceless like when he realises he accidently got himself trapped. And then during the part of the episode when he keeps falling for the many traps he set are hilarious. I loved it.
9. Scraps:
Next on the list is Chowder's future apprentice and the timid box boy. After Chowder grew up and had to choose a new apprentice, he chose this small boy in this box. And this kid's really innocent and funny at points. While we never know his real name, he's still a nice and even kinda sweet kid, especially with the ending of the last episode when he decides to follow Chowder. And even besides that, there are some funny scenes with him.
8. Gorgonzola:
Chowder's rival is at number 8. This small candle headed rat thing is a super entertaining character with always trying to show Chowder up or trying to prove he's better. And at things like when Chowder joins the SniffleBall team, he just wants beat him and try to make him lose in an attempt to make him leave. However, I think I like him the most during the few occasions where they team-up like in the Blackout episode or during the Knishmas episode. But he's also really funny and it's especially funny during those times when he's sorta acting wimpy like when Panini beats him up o when Chowder scares him by waving his arms and screaming.
7. Endive:
The rival of Mung and the catering company is at number 7, Endive. This huge, fat monster is the owner of her own catering company. She hates Mung so much and wants to prove that she's the better chef no matter what it takes. She also has a monstrous crush on Schnitzel and when she doesn't get him, she'll go absolutely insane. She's also funny from the different things like during the cooking games or when she ordering Panini around.
6. Panini:
Speaking of Panini, here she is at number 6. This pink girl rabbit has a huge crush on Chowder and will do whatever it takes to get him. Even though, every time he sees her he always says "I'm not your boyfriend." And every time that happens, I can't help but laugh. She's also funny with other characters as well like Ceviche, Endive and Gorgonzola. Just so many things about her are so entertaining and hilarious to watch.
5. Truffles:
At number 5 is Mung's wife and the waiter at the company, Truffles. This old flying woman is centuries old and she's almost like a sort of a selfish and loud character while almost never coming off as unlikeable. She's like the smart mouth of the company. Always sorta trying to keep everything in check and also wanting things done in a way or wanting it done her way. She's also maybe has the coolest design in the show.
4. Schnitzel:
This huge, strong rock monster is the assistant of Mung in the kitchen. He only says one thing, "Radda."
While it was never confirmed to be real or not, the kinda backstory with him is that he was once a master swordsman until he was defeated and dishonoured by his archenemy, P. King Duck. But years later, after accidently returning, he beat him and restored his honour. Now being Mung's assistant and Chowder's co-worker, he really just goes through things trying to help and live his life.
3. Mung:
The owner of the catering company and Chowder's teacher, Mung, is at number 3. This guy only has three cares in the world. Cooking, ladies and that moustache of his. While at times really egotistical and selfish, he still remains a super likeable and funny character who never gets annoying. He'll also do whatever it takes to shows he's the best chef of all time. He also does whatever it takes to survive from Chowder's antics.
2. Gazpacho:
Coming in close to number 1 is Chowder's best friend and the stupid owner of the fruit stand in the Marzipan market, Gazpacho. Easily one of, if not, maybe the funniest part of the whole show, Gazpacho always has the best lines and funniest expressions. He's also scared of his own mother, which, I think, is later revealed to be himself. Watch the episode "The Spookiest House in Marzipan" to know what I mean. And his reactions to things are absolutely burst out laughing funny like when he realises he's done something bad or something stupid. One of the best uses of him in my opinion is the episode "The Blackout" where he's helping Chowder and Gorgonzola to the Tower of Power. But even besides all that, the best part about him is his comedy and the fact that he is the funniest and one of the most likeable characters in the entire show.
And my number 1 favourite Chowder character is... Chowder:
He's overall a loveable little kid and I never get tired of watching him on screen. Every time I watch him on the show, I love every second of it. And all that is why Chowder himself is my favourite character in the whole Chowder show.
