My top 10 Avatar: The Last Airbender characters

So Avatar: The Last Airbender might be one of my favourite animated shows of all time. It has an amazing story, characters, setting, animation, voice acting and all that. It's easily one of the best Nickelodeon shows ever and something I especially love from it is the fact that it's an American shows. Some people think it's an anime, but it's not. It's supposed to be like one, but it's not. And, yeah, one of the many great things about it is that the characters are really, really great. So I decided that I'd talk about my 10 favourites considering I've never really spoken about it properly before. Though, there's not a whole lot of characters so I'm going with these actual ones here. I'm also not including the Legend Of Korra because I haven't watched it yet and I don't really think that would be fair for a list like this. Anyway, let's begin and I hope you all like this.
10. Suki
Starting us off is Sokka's girlfriend and one the fighter's leaders, Suki. When in a village, Aang and his team met Suki and her team of some sort of female ninjas. Sokka tried to get in and help them, and after getting Suki's acceptance as a friend, the two of them began a relationship that lasted the rest of the series. And the character of Suki is really likeable. Especially when they meet her again when all of them are trying to get into Ba Sing Se.
9. Azula:
The first villain to appear on this list is Azula. This insane woman is always hunting after Aang and his team with the intent to kill them. She's a fire bender and she's also able to use lightning as well. She's also just an awesome villain with never giving up and always going crazy with a fight she's in. She'll stop at nothing to kill Aang and she's also just extremely nasty and one of those villains that you love to hate. She actually reminds me a lot of Larxene from Kingdom Hearts. Yeah, she's just really awesome and it's kinda fun and satisfying to see her lose her mind and actually lose at the very end.
8. Ozai:
At number 8 is the main villain of the series, Ozai, also know as the Phoenix King. This is the guy that controlled everything in terms of the Fire Nation. And, man, is he an awesome villain. In the first season he's never seen, only referenced here and there and then when we do see him, he's an amazing villain and he's an incredibly intimidating one. And then, in Season 3 he finally begins to make his move with the final episode with fighting Aang and doing everything he can to kill him with his fire bending. When he's finally beaten at the end, it is so awesome and pretty satisfying after everything that's happened and everything he's done.
7. Iroh:

At number 7 is Ozai's father and Zuko's grandfather, Iroh. Before Ozai took over, this man was the former leader of the Fire Nation. But now he's just kind of a carefree guy who tries to find the good in people, especially Zuko, who he always trying to help and encourage. He may seem pretty silly and funny at times, but don't let that fool ya because he's an extremely powerful fire bender, even if he doesn't entirely look like he is. But, I also just love his fun personality and how positive he can be and caring for people, even if they're not always nice to him.
6. Hakoda:

Next up is Sokka and Katara's dad and one of the heads of the Water Tribe, Hakoda. While he may not appear in the show a lot, when he's there, he's great. He's obviously a nice guy with always being supportive and caring for his kids and always encouraging them to do what's right. And, by the end when they all finally reunite with him meeting them again, yeah, it's just as satisfying as everything at the end. But he's also a great water bender, along with the rest of the Water Tribe.
5. Toph:
The first of Aang's team on the list is Toph. When Aang, Sokka and Katara first met her, she was sorta like a sheltered person do to her father always wanting to keep her close because she's kinda royalty in a way. But she's also bling and an earth bender. She's able to use the vibrations in the ground to see. She helped teach Aang how to earth bend, and not only can she earth bend, but, because of one episode where she was trapped inside of a metal box, she taught herself how to metal bend.
4. Sokka:

One of the first characters we're ever introduced in the series is Katara's older brother, Sokka. Being another very carefree character, not only does Sokka provide a lot of comedy for the show, which is great to watch, but he's also the strategist of the team and almost always comes up with great ideas for missions. While not and bender of any elements like the other members of the team, he's still got a lot of spirit and is incredibly supportive to everyone. He's even got two main weapons for battle, a boomerang and sword made from a meteor.
3. Katara:

At number 3 is the main female lead for the show and Aang's girlfriend, Katara. When just a little girl, she witnessed a fire nation man kill her mother and has since then done everything she can to be as good a person as her. And, yeah, she great. She's mainly a huge optimist with being a water bender and does everything she can to keep her comrades safe. But she can also be a character you can get behind whenever she gets angry like when she tries to find the man who killed her mother. When that happens, you completely understand and it makes sense for the character. But I mainly really love her because of the same reason I love a lot of these characters. She's one to always be supportive and you enjoy watching her, no matter what she's doing.
2. Zuko:

Coming in close to number 1 is the Fire Prince and one of the best fire benders on the show, Zuko. While originally a villain set on killing Aang, he eventually saw the errors of what was being done and he decided to team up with Aang to defeat Ozai. He's pretty much this show's version of Vegeta in a way. Especially given how both of them are princes in a way. He may have started off as a villain, but after turning good, he becomes one of the most likeable characters in the show and you understand it and it made me extremely happy when he did. It's awesome and I love characters like him. It's even made more tragic when out find out his backstory with his father being the one who burned his face and realise that he did once have a happy normal family for a while. But afterwards, he becomes a character you can't help but like.
And my number 1 favourite Avatar: The Last Airbender character is... Aang:

And finally at number 1 is the Avatar himself, Aang. This twelve year old boy may be one of the best Nickelodeon protagonists ever. Being the only person left who can become the avatar, Aang has come a long, long way from how he started off. He starts off as a sorta naïve, innocent, goofy and fun-loving character. And while he does keep a lot of those traits with him throughout the series, he definetly grows with wanting to save everyone and doing everything he can to protect the world from Ozai and the fire nation. He's also one who'll do whatever it takes to save his friends and other innocents. He's also extremely powerful and dedicated to wanting to learn how to master all the elements. He's never one to back down from a fight and will never give up, no matter the obstacle ahead. And so, everyone, those are my top 10 Avatar: The Last Airbender characters. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think. Or, if you want, please comment to tell me who your favourite characters are if you're a fan of the show.
