My top 10 favourite Duel Monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh!

When it comes to Yu-Gi-Oh, the world almost seems like it runs on the game of Duel Monsters. And, with that, there's obviously going to be so many monsters in it. And I've managed to make up a list of my favourite monsters from it. And this could either be from the monster's designs, their abilities or even from how they might treat people because sometimes they can actually interact with other people. 'Cause, occasionally, they can act like companions to their owners. And so, here we go and I hope you all like this.
10. Kuriboh:

Starting us off at number 10 is this cute little hairy looking monster from Yugi's deck. While he may not be super strong, he has been a great companion to Yugi, and even just Winged Kuriboh to Jaden in Yu-Gi-Oh GX. And he can even help out with some of character's duels like when Yugi was duelling against Pegasus.
9. Gaia The Fierce Knight:
During the first few duels in the series, this Knight monster card was one of the ones that Yugi would usually be happy with when he held it hoping he could play it. It's got a great amount of attack points and it's been really effective whenever he used it at the start of the series. He used it against Kaiba in the first episode and even during the Duellist Kingdom arc. It's also a cool concept for a card, a blue and red armoured knight riding a purple horse.
8. Jinzo:
While this helmet wearing monster may have proven a toughest opponent for Joey to deal with at first, when he eventually won it, it became a huge advantage for him as it possesses the ability to neutralise trap cards on the field of the opponent. And, not only is he really strong, but he's also a fan favourite amongst fans, which is why it became a villain during the Virtual World arc.
7. The Red Eyes Black Dragon:

When the Blue Eyes White Dragon was first introduced, most people may have thought that there would not card out there quite like it. That is until Joey won this card from Rex Raptor and he became one of, if not, Joey's best card. While it may not be as strong as the Blue Eyes, it's still helped Joey through a ton of duels. It's also got so many more transformations. Whether it's the Red Eyes Black Metal Dragon or Red Eyes Black Skull Dragon, this beast's transformations are always awesome to see.
6. Buster Blader:
At the start of the Battle City arc, Yugi was able to get a new deck with new monsters that we hadn't yet been introduced to. And one of the most effective was this huge sword wielding armoured monster with the ability to gain more Attack Points if the opponent has dragon monsters on their side of the field or in their graveyard. So, you can only imagine Kaiba's reaction when Yugi used it against him and used it to annihilate his Blue Eyes White Dragons.
5. Summoned Skull:
One of the first strong cards we saw Yugi use in the series, this freaky looking skeleton monster card is very unique. It doesn't exactly have a lot of frontal attacks, which it does have a little bit of, but it mostly depends on a ton of lightning moves. It may not have been used much after the Duellist Kingdom arc, but if something like this is capable of shutting up Weavel Underwood, then you know something good is definetly able to come out of it.
4. Exodia:
When there's a monster so powerful you need five cards to summon him, you know that it's a real powerhouse. Not only is Exodia an unstoppable monster, but, in actuality, when holding all five of these cards in your hand, you automatically win the game. And in the anime, he has some amazing attacks like the obliterate attack or just when he's using his bare fists to fight like in the fight with Zorc.
3. The Dark Magician:
At number 3 is Yugi's favourite card in the whole game. This strong monster not only has a unique design, but he's helped Yugi through so many duels. He's also got amazing attacks and attack points. Plus, there are so many variations to this monster, whether it being the Dark Magician Girl, Dark Sage or Dark Paladin. This is also a special card when we see it's backstory during the second last arc in the original series.
2. The Blue Eyes White Dragon:
Coming in close to number 1 is Kaiba's favourite card and one of the most popular in the series, The Blue Eyes White Dragon. Not only is this Kaiba's favourite, but it's also Kazuki Takahashi's favourite too. This was actually a fan favourite when this was first introduced. And it's no wonder. It's an awesome monster card. It looks so cool and it's incredibly strong. It's also got a lot of different moves too and there's different versions to this monster like the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, Blue Eyes Shining Dragon and the previously mentioned Red Eyes Black Dragon, which may be different to this, but still.
And my number 1 favourite Duel Monster is... Slifer The Sky Dragon:
And finally at number 1 is my personal favourite out of all of the Egyptian God Cards, Slifer. While all three of the Egyptian Gods are iconic for the series, my personal favourite is the coolest looking out of all of them and the most uniquely played card. This gigantic dragon with two mouths is the first one we're introduced to in the series and is the first one that Yugi is able to get. This card's attack points and defence points are a mystery until it's played and the reason for that is because it's points all depend on how many cards the player already has on the field. One monster alone can allow it to have 1000 points, so imagine how much power it'll have when the player has at least three or four monsters on the field. I like the other God Cards too like Obelisk The Tormentor and The Winged Dragon Of Ra, but this one just my personal favourite and is my favourite monster in all of Yu-Gi-Oh. And so everyone, those my top 10 favourite Duel Monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh. Thank you all for reading, please comment to tell me what you think, or, if you like Yu-Gi-Oh, please comment to tell me your favourite monster from it.
