My top 10 saddest deaths in comic book movies

So seeing how my last entry was me talking about the saddest deaths in anime, I thought I'd do something kinda similar here with me talking about what I consider to be the saddest deaths in comic book movies. A lot of these can be the same as what I said about the last one, in the sense that the characters themselves could have a lot of likability to them and a lot of things going on with them that when they die, it makes it all the more emotional and sad. And so, let's begin and I hope you all like this.
10. Rorschach (Watchmen):
Starting us off is the death to the mask wearing vigilantly of the Watchmen team, Rorschach. Towards the end of the movie when Ozymandias completes his plans and when it looks like the whole world is about to turn on Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach goes off to try to tell everyone the truth, but Dr. Manhattan stops him knowing that this is probably the way things should be. Rorschach then quickly tells Dr. Manhattan to kill him as he takes of his mask. Dr. Manhattan does so as Nite Owl is watching.
9. Jonathan Kent (Man Of Steel):
While the death of Jonathan Kent in the original Superman movie was really sad too, this version from Man Of Steel was possibly even sadder because we got an even deeper look into Clark and Jonathan's relationship here which helped us care for him, so when he dies when a tornado hits, it's really effective and really gets us in the feels.
8. Gwen Stacy (The Amazing Spider-Man 2):

People may have had a ton of problems when it came to 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but one thing people say the movie actually got right was the death of Gwen Stacy. Seeing how the movie was adapting a part from the most famous Marvel story ever, I think it did it great, especially since there's good chemistry between Peter and Gwen between these two movies. And in this, when Peter is fighting Harry, Gwen begins to fall down a clocktower and Spidey's constantly trying to save her. When it looks like he's about to, she hits her head hard on the ground  and breaks her neck and dies with Peter in a traumatised state of absolute despair.
7. Yondu (Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2):
The first of an M.C.U death on here is the death of Yondu Udonta. With the sequel to the first Guardians movie, Yondu gets much more fleshed out here and shown to have a much more human side to him. While he may have abducted Star-Lord as a boy, we learn that he actually grew to care for him and felt he was like a real son to him. He did so knowing that Ego couldn't be trusted after he killed all of his other children. At the end of Vol. 2, Yondu sacrifices himself to save Peter from outer space after Ego explodes. He says one last goodbye just before he dies in the vacuum of space.
6. Steve Trevor (Wonder Woman):

While this movie may be set in World War 2 where things like this is happening all the time, it's the death of this charismatic and likeable piolet that gets us the most. After Steve discovers that a plane full of poison gas is about to take off, he decides to say one last goodbye to Diana by saying he loves her and gives her his watch. And it makes it even sadder when he gets into the plane and shoots the gas which causes the whole plane to explode.
5. Thomas and Martha Wayne (Batman Begins):

One of the few times when a reboot of a series is made and it's even more effective than the original. When Bruce and his family are at a show, he asks to leave early due to his new fear of bats. When they leave, a gunner threatens his family to give him their stuff, when it looks like they're about to, the guy gets nervous and shoots both of Bruce's parents in front of him. As the gunner runs off, Bruce looks at his parents in despair as his dad's last words to him are "Don't be afraid." Given how the movie had previously helped us care about both Bruce and his parents before this, it just made the execution of this scene all the more effective.
4. Uncle Ben (Spider-Man):
One of the saddest and most iconic deaths in comic book history, the death of Peter's Uncle Ben is the main motivation that pushed Peter to becoming Spider-Man. While Uncle Ben may not have had a whole lot of screen time here, he was given enough to leave an impression on us. So much that we're able to really care and feel even more sorry when he's killed. When a robber steals money from a wrestling match place and Peter has the opportunity to stop him, he doesn't because he was getting payback for when the guy cheated out of paying him, but this allows the robber to escape and this causes Flint Marko to accidently kill Uncle Ben.
3. Professor X (Logan):

At number 3 is the first appearance from a character from last year's Logan. This whole movie is full of nonstop deaths and horrific images. And one of the most shocking is the death of Charles Xavier. When X-24 comes into the bedroom where he was sleeping, he quickly kills him and Wolverine tries to help him when he finds him. He tries to get him into a truck but Professor X then dies there with a grieving look on his face. With how long we'd known this Professor X, seeing him go once and for all is just devastating.
2. Wolverine (Logan):

Said to be the saddest death in comic book movie history by so many people, at the time of its release, this death from last year's Logan was the only one that came close to making me cry. In this final fight, Wolverine is trying to help the mutant children after the Reevers attack them with the X-24 clone of Wolverine himself. After a huge brutal fight, X-24 is able to overpower Wolverine and uses a piece of a tree to stab him which is the last thing needed to kill him with his healing factor all gone at this point. After he says his final words to Laura, he finally dies and the mutant children then bury him. Given the relationship that Wolverine and Laura had been developing over the movie, as well as the fact that this version of Wolverine is one that we've been following for so many years, it makes it hurt that much more and makes us feel depressed towards the end.
And the number 1 saddest death in a comic book movie is... Everyone in Infinity War (Avengers: Infinity War):
And finally at number 1 are the deaths of so many characters from this year's Avengers: Infinity War. While the whole movie is filled with really sad deaths in it and there are so many to choose from, I'm mainly talking about the ending to the movie when Thanos snaps his fingers with the Infinity Stones inside the Infinity Gauntlet. After he does, we're shown so many characters just turning to dust. Bucky, Black Panther, Groot, Scarlet Witch, Mantis, Drax, Star-Lord, Doctor Strange and so many more. But, for me, and a lot of people, the saddest is definetly Spider-Man. Seeing how this is the best version of Spider-Man ever and seeing how we had come to love him before this, seeing him break down like this and acting in the way an actual person his age would act, yeah, it just made it all the more heart-breaking. There were other deaths in the movie too that were really sad like Loki, Heimdal, Gamora, Vision and even more people are turning to dust even after the credits like Hill and Fury. And this can even count for Ant-Man And The Wasp because Hope, Hank and Janet die in the process of it too. And so having all that happening and seeing all of this by shock, it especially made me cry with Spidey. And all that is why all the deaths from Infinity War is my pick for the number 1 saddest death in a comic book movie. And so everyone, those are my picks for the top 10 saddest deaths in comic book movies. Thank you all for reading, I hope you liked this and please comment down below to tell me what you think.
