Top 5 Darkest Kingdom Hearts moments

Kingdom Hearts has so many happy and upbeat moments in it's series but it also has some really dark sad moments throughout too. So here I'm going to name my top 5 darkest moments in the series. And yeah, for a series like Kingdom Hearts that has a lot of light and positive moments, when there is dark moments, they go really dark. I'd say probably the darkest game in the series was probably either 358/2 Days or Birth By Sleep. So, let's get started.
5. Sora's sacrifice: Starting us off is a scene from the first game. Throughout the first game, Sora is the character who we played as from the very start and we grew to absolutely love him. And in this scene he sacrifices his own heart to save Kairi. And when he did, he just vanished into sparkles. Thankfully he does come back but, dude, for a moment, we actually thought that he might be dead. That was a really scary moment there. To see this guy, who was at the start suddenly just disappear and we not know what happened to him for a couple of seconds was just incredible. I can't believe they managed to do that. Even for this to just be the first game that to happen in insane. And it was amazing and I already said that it was one of my favourite moments when I talked about my top 5 Kingdom Hearts moments a few months ago and I love that scene.
4. Xion's death: This was actually the very first real death we had in the series. Yes there was all the defeats and that in Kingdom Hearts 2 but I feel that this is the one where it does really happen because of the simple fact that it's sad, it dark and it's a long scene with Roxas and Xion just talking as she's disappearing in that ice like thing. Just the fact that Roxas had to fight one of his best friends was pretty good too but I think having this sad and upsetting moment of them having this last conversation is even most heart-wrenching.
3. Vexen's death: If you want to see a scene in the series where a member of a team murders another, this is the prime example. So after the fight with Vexen as Sora, he's about to reveal to Sora about the real truth about Naminé. But before he can, Axel throws one of his Chakrams at him then snaps his fingers and sets Vexen on fire which makes him explode. Even Sora is horrified of this and you can see it with the emotion on his face and can't believe what's he seeing. He even questions Axel about what are they are and that is so creepy and so powerful and in some cases, maybe even scary with what Axel did.
2. Zexion's death: Yeah, Kingdom Hearts has a lot of creepy and disturbing deaths in it's history and Zexion's is no exception. In Chain of Memories, after he fights and loses to Riku, Zexion retreats but finds out that Axel and the Riku Replica are waiting for him. He tries to reason with them but then the Replica rushes forward towards him, grabs him and holds him up by the throat and begins to suck the life out of him. That is beyond brutal if you were to ask me. Just the fact that Axel takes out another Organisation member is awesome and the way it's done is so dark in my opinion.
And the number 1 darkest moment in Kingdom Hearts is... The ending of Birth By Sleep: This is easily the saddest ending in all of the Kingdom Hearts games. I mean, don't get me wrong. The ending for Kingdom Hearts 1 and Chain of Memories were pretty sad too but at least they showed at the characters were kinda happy with the choices they made. Here though, we see the three main characters either get trapped or being gone. I mean Ven loses his heart and falls into a great sleep, Aqua gets trapped in the realm of Darkness and Terra gets his body stolen by the main villain in this game series. And while Xehanort himself doesn't win exactly, neither do the three of them. And even just the mere imagery of all of this is incredibly dark. The whole atmosphere is just so dark and so gloomy and so empty, you feel the impact that this is having on the three of them as they do their best to defeat Xehanort and Vanitas.
