Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

In my last review I started to review the Lord of the Rings films. Now we're onto the Two Towers. This is the highest rated film of the whole film on Rotten Tomatoes with 96%. And while this one isn't my favourite, in fact out of the whole trilogy, this is probably the least of the series. Don't get me wrong, I do love this movie, just like I love the other Lord of the Rings movies, but in trilogies like this it always feels like the 2nd one is just an excuse to just be a filler movie. Just to carry the story a little more. But still it is still great. What's the story? Frodo and Sam are continuing their journey to Mount Doom after they all got separated at the end of the last film with Gandalf being dragged by the Balrog down to someplace in Moria, Merry and Pippin being taken by Orcs and Aragon, Legolas and Gimli  chasing after them after Boromir was shot with arrows by one of the Orcs and Frodo and Sam went the other way to go the Mount Doom. On the way, Gollum finds the 2 of them trying to get the ring because it's incredibly addictive. Frodo manages to get him to show him to the Black Gate. When they get there Gollum is worried that the Orcs and other servants of Sauron will find them so he decides to show them another way to Mordor. While this is going on, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli are still trying to find Merry and Pippin but it turns out they escaped from the Orcs while they were in a fight with some soldiers from Rohan. They went into a forest and Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli go after them. There Merry and Pippin meet a living tree named "Treebeard" played by John Rhys-Davis, who also plays Gimli. Also in the forest Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli also reunite with Gandalf. They head off towards Rohan where it turns out the king, King Théoden  has been possessed by Saruman. But Gandalf manages to get him out of it. And also Frodo and Sam are captured by Boromir's brother "Faramir." And the rest is really complicated, in fact the whole story of Lord of the Rings is complicated. So again the action is the best thing in this film, especially the fight scene at Helms Deep. It's almost kind of hard to explain what it is I like about this film. I mean I like it a lot but for me it's the least of the series. But it is still great nonetheless.
