Batman Forever

While Batman Returns was a big hit it wasn't as big a hit Warner Brothers was hoping it would be, so Tim Burton was replaced by another director, Joel Schumacher, the director of this one, Batman Forever. What's the story? Batman, this time played by "Val Kilmer," is trying to stop the evil "Two-Face" played by "Tommy Lee Jones." But now the "Riddler" played by "Jim Carrey" has come to Gotham. One night Bruce is with someone at the circus, Two-Face activates a big bomb which "Dick Grayson" played by "Chris O'Donnell" and his family stop but his family dies while trying to get rid of the bomb, so now Dick is after Two-Face for revenge. So now that Dick is an orphan Gordon tells Bruce he has to take him in. And all this time Bruce is getting riddles from the Riddler to help him understand who he really is. So what's good about this movie. Well for one thing I actually think casting Val Kilmer as Bruce was a good idea after Michael Keaton left. And actually during the movie we do feel the pain that Dick Grayson is going through because of the loss of his family. And speaking of which they actually made a really cool Robin costume in the end. And the action is very well improved, still not the best, but still it's better than last time. So I guess my last words on the film is o.k. Nothing great but nothing really terrible. I'd say it's worth one sit through.
