Kronk's New Groove

Coming close to the end of these Disney straight to video sequels, this next one is the sequel to the Emperor's New Groove, Kronk's New Groove. When I started thinking about watching a lot of these sequels, Kronk's New Groove was one I was not looking forward to watching from what I heard people saying about it. It even have a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. If even Mulan 2 didn't have that far of a score, then there was definitely something wrong. And boy was it not wrong about it being bad. This is another horrible one. Not the worst I've ever seen, but still bad. What's the story? Well, this is actually kinda like Tarzan & Jane where it's a bunch of stories put together for a movie. Kronk's dad is coming to visit but he's worried about that because he's afraid of him being disappointed in him for the job he has or had with Yzma. So we get three stories of him before he was with Yzma. The first is her wanting him back, the second is him in a romance and the third is him telling his dad that he has everything he wants. There isn't even anything funny. Which is so strange because the Emperor's New Groove is one of the funniest Disney Classics ever. Here, all the jokes are just bland, stupid and aren't funny. The animation is also odd because it looks like they're just trying to make the characters move weird and bounce strangely. Even the slapstick is pretty lame and stupid.  Another thing that's odd is that Kuzco is hardly in this either. He only in a scene or two explaining how he's in the movie and what he's doing. Why isn't he in this more? He was great as the loveable jerk in the first movie, here, he's barely in it at all like the Joker in Suicide Squad.

On top of that, the cast here is amazing like Patrick Warburton, Eartha Kitt, Tracey Ullman, John Goodman, John Mahoney, John Fiedler. These are funny actors but the lines they're saying aren't funny. Which is also strange because Kronk and Yzma were one of, if not, the best part of the first movie but they're not well used here.

Again, I'm just gonna make this short because this is a short movie and it's so dumb. Just a bland, unfunny comedy that you should most likely skip. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.

Atlantis: Milo's Return

So, remember when I said before about Disney sequels that were just made so they could set up a TV show, this is one I accidently left out. Milo's Return is the last of these TV show set up movie things. (Okay, this and Belle's Magic World as well, but whatever.) And to make it worse, this is another one that's considered one of the most despised Disney sequels. Especially with YouTubers like Animat. On top of that, the people behind this movie, before this come out, never came forward and just said that this is a set up movie for a show. If they did and they just confessed it, then it would be a little more forgiving. But no. We have a bunch of nonsensical, lazy, non connecting stories that don't even flow properly. It starts off with Milo still in Atlantis with Kida when his friends come by and explain they were attacked by some kinda Atlantian like monster. After that, there's another story about these Wind Coyotes in the dessert and the last story is this crazy guy who thinks he's Odin and steals this staff thing from Atlantis. He even mistakes Kida as his daughter. As stories themselves, they all seem really random and feel like they belong in something else. The animation's also kinda weird for a movie. For a TV show it is good, but for a feature length "movie," it seems a little out of place. And the reason I did that with movie is that I never feel that movies with these small stories for these segments are really movies entirely. I feel they're just there for Disney to make some small excuse to do these shows and get some money in exchange, if you know what I mean. Some of these stories don't even entirely make sense. Like there's the first story with this water monster and there's this guy who looks like he's controlling it but it also looks like it could be controlling him with these glowing eyes. It's never explained what happens. There's a lot of scenes like that with just some unanswered questions. On top of that, there are a lot of missed opportunities here. Like, great example, there're scenes where we find out who're doing these things. Like the sea monster and the Coyotes and we can really find out more about it but they choose to just brush over all of it. Some else the movie misses is sorta what the original did better and that's explore the characters better and make a lot of the culture in these environments interesting. This doesn't really try to show that here. It really feels like they just wanted to get us through everything and have the movie be over faster. Which is sort of a shame. The side characters were awesome in he first movie. They had likeable personalities, they were funny and they were characters you cared about. Here, they're barely in the movie to get any kinda real character out of any of them. But, with that bad stuff, and this is a really bad movie, there were some cool ideas like this creature thing that they have that was made in molten lava so it can stand in fire. That's cool. And some of the locations they explore look cool...  guess. Other than that though, it's pretty much what you'd expect. It's boring, stupid, it makes no sense and it's an obvious skip. Thank you all for reading and please comment down bellow to tell me what you think.

Cinderella 3: A Twist In Time

So now after a long ride of disappointing Disney sequels, we've returned to the great ones again. Cinderella 3 is a really great movie in my opinion. Not anything special like Lion King 2 or Bambi 2, but still a great movie and I'm kinda surprised how much I enjoyed it. Everyone's always saying this is a great Disney sequel and I'm pretty sure my brother and sister said they like it too. So with all that, I was really excited when I rewatched this movie after a few years because I remember watching it a few years ago but I rewatched it recently to do this review. What's the story? Cinderella and Prince Charming are having some kinda party but then the Fairy Godmother loses her wand and the evil stepmother and stepsisters find it. They turn the Fairy Godmother to stone and use it to reverse time to when Cinderella put the slipper on. They make it so that Anastasia is able to put on the slipper and Cinderella is left with nothing. The stepmother and stepsisters are brought to the palace and they hypnotise the prince to make him think that Anastasia is the one he fell in love with. So now Cinderella has to sneak into palace and not get caught trying to fix everything. So firstly, the biggest thing that's improved on the second movie is that the villains in this are in it more an they're just as maniacal as ever. Some are even kinda sympathetic at times like Anastasia. She was pretty likeable in the second movie but she's a lot more likeable here and they even give her a bit more of a character. Some of the others are more likeable too like the king and Prince Charming. The king is more sentimental like we get some backstory with him. He says he lost his wife and especially wants Prince Charming to get married so he can not only have grandchildren, but also so he can pass on this piece of jewellery that his wife had and it's pretty nice. Prince Charming is better too. He only had one line the first movie but here, he has a personality and we get a little more of him and we get to know him more. He's a very nice guy who sorta has these thoughts of his own and he does want to get with the right person. Very nice guy to watch. The animation is amazing and awesome. The villains, as I said, are in this a lot and so we get some great expressions with them, but the rest are great too and the imagery surrounding them is incredible. Especially the effects they use like whenever Lady Tremaine is using the magic wand. And another thing that's awesome is the climax inside the palace. There's green lights and magic everywhere, they nonstop craziness, she's turning people into animals. She's almost unstoppable. And when they do manage to beat her and the other stepsister at the end and Anastasia is completely a nice person is great to see too. Even when Cinderella and Prince Charming are being reunited and everything goes back to normal is really nice to see. It's also cool when Lady Tremaine throws Cinderella into this pumpkin and she's making it rot with Lucifer as a human about to drive it off a cliff. That scene was intense and a fantastic action scene. But with all that, is this perfect? No, there are a few problems like there's this thing that goes on throughout the movie with touching a person's hand means your in love. That seems really repetitive and odd at points. And Cinderella herself is kinda the same as last time as in she sorta doesn't seem like she should be at points. Not bad and she is really good here, just not portrayed at her best. But even with that, this is still a great Disney sequel. It's a super fun time and I really do recommend this one. I hope you do check it out because it is super fun. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.

Cinderella 2: Dreams Come True

Another Disney sequel that tries to tie a bunch of stories together like Tarzan & Jane and Belle's Magical World and make them into a feature length movie is Cinderella 2. I don't understand why they do this because in my opinion, if you really wanted to make these short stories, then they should just put them as bonus features in the movies themselves or something. But, here we are with this kinda movie again. So Cinderella is in the palace with Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother, along with the mice are living there too. They decide they want to make a book for Cinderella that tell her a bunch of stories that's happened there so far. The first is Cinderella learning how to be a proper princess by doing a ton of lame stuff, the next is Jaq being turned into a human because he doesn't like being a mouse anymore and the last is Cinderella feeling bad for one of her stepsisters Anastasia and tries to get her a date for the ball. But when she does, they do that dumb cliché where it looks like the boyfriend is actually in love with someone else and it just wastes time. It's all just as dumb as you can imagine. They're all bland, not creative and barely tie together at all. The animation's pretty good but it's not put to anything good at all and it's another thing that's really wasted. Some of the characters act in some ways that they usually would like Cinderella herself in the first story where she's trying to be like a real princess. And it's so annoying seeing Jaq trying to act like a human and finding it too hard to adapt. He was a really likeable character in the first movie but here he's just annoying and a ton of choices they make for these stories are stupid. I will say not everything is terrible. Again, the animation's pretty good and some of the characters are likeable. But all the rest are bland and some of them make dumb decisions too. That's really the best way to describe this movie and a lot of these sequels. A lot of them are really dumb and some of them don't make sense. The only real upside I can really think about for this is that it caused Cinderella 3 to happen and that is a really good movie. But that'll come next. For this however, yeah, do I even need to say any more? It's just the kinda movie you'd expect. Just a skipable, boring, stupid mess. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.

The Fox and the Hound 2

When I want to tell people about what a truly horrific Disney sequel, I usually point to this one, (along with some others as well), but this one as well. When I first watched this movie, I knew it was going to be terrible. And, what do ya know, I was right. This movie makes literally no sense at all. And when I say that, I mean it doesn't feel like a real Disney sequel because it's like Bambi 2 where it takes place during the gap when Todd and Copper are separated. But unlike Bambi 2 where you can imagine there being something interesting during that gap, this doesn't. I mean, if they're separated what can you do with that? What's the story? Well Todd and Copper are still together and still friends getting into trouble. But when a circus comes to town with singing dogs, Copper wants to join. And the group is full of stray dogs so he lies to them saying he is a stray so he's allowed in. And especially with some other female dog just leaving. But she doesn't like that she was replaced so fast so she teams up with Todd to sabotage them because she doesn't want them to perform with him and Todd wants his best friend back. So they manage to by telling them that Copper isn't a stray so he's thrown out but now Copper is mad at Todd. Oh god, how dumb can you make this? What does any of this have to do with the original?  It doesn't. The original was about Todd an Copper's friendship and it had a small message about prejudice. That was handled really well and it had something to it, especially for something that came out in 1981. This doesn't. It's just some weird bouncy animation with the characters dancing and a ton of other dumb situations happening. Yeah, we also seeing some scenes of characters doing weird dance moves. And the weirdest part is that this is really good animation. Why is this great animation being used for this terrible story? The writers act like they don't care about this and neither should you because it sucks so hard. None of the characters even have anything interesting about them or any investment or proper motivations. And think about it, this is Fox and the Hound 2, they coulda made a movie where Todd and Copper have kids and they try to keep them out of trouble but something happens in the end that makes the kids right kinda like the Lion King 2, or something like that. I don't know if that woulda made it better, but I think it would at least be a little better than what this is. The story they have here is dumb, boring and so beyond stupid. They don't care about it all. As you can tell, I'm saying this is an obvious skip. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.

Brother Bear 2

Along with Pocahontas 2, the other Disney sequel I'm surprised got made is Brother Bear 2 because, well, yeah, for kinda the same reason. The first one wasn't very good and didn't do very well and from what I heard, this one wasn't much of an improvement over the first. In fact, some said they hated it. And, yeah, that's what I though too. Just another predictable, boring, overused script and story we've heard a ton of times before. That's not to say there isn't anything good in it, there are a couple, but it's still just another bland Disney sequel that you watch and just wish it to end. What's the story? Kenai is still a bear again living with the others and there's this woman he once knew as a child named Nita who's about to get married to another guy but then they're separated when some ice literally splits in half and now they're away from each other. Some old woman tells Nita that Kenai is for her so she finds him and the woman gives her something to talk to him now because he's a bear. So now they have to destroy some amulet but they do absolutely nothing but constantly fight all the time and act like they don't like each other. But, of course they do begin to fall in love but Koda wants to stop that from happening. Uh-huh, again, sound familiar?
Image result for Mushu Mulan 2
Thankfully, not as hateable as that, but still. Rutt and Tuke are also back with two new female moose and they're starting to fall in love too. And, as you'd expect, that also has a ton of dumb clichés. You know what's going to happen, They're going to learn to appreciate each other and love each other and all that sorta of blah-blah-blah stuff. There's just a ton of nonstop clichés all over the place. They don't even try to add anything new to them. As soon as you see Kenai and Nita fighting, you know what's going to happen. They're gonna act like they don't like each other but eventually get together with someone or something trying to stop them and then at the end after the climax, you know what's gonna happen there too. Nita get's turned into a bear herself. Same for Rutt and Tuke with them trying to win over the female moose's, they want to act cool but they learn that they just have to be themselves. How dumb can you do that? Like this. They just don't know how to do it. I will say this though, for as dumb as it is, and don't worry, it's is really stupid and annoying, but there is the animation that looks great. It looks just like the first movie. Everything you see is great looking. Okay, I don't know if I'd say it's the best looking but it is one of the best looking. Aside from that, it's just the kinda sorta story you've heard everywhere. The characters are so bland and so 1-dimentional, the plot is as thin as you can imagine and clichés are so dumb every time you see them. I can't recall one time this story has been good and this movie certainly doesn't try to do it interestingly. Not the worst, but one to definitely skip. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.

Pocahontas 2: Journey to a New World

One of the Disney sequels that I'm really surprised with is this one. And by that I mean I'm surprised they actually made a sequel to this because the first one wasn't very well received. I mean, people didn't hate it, but it's not a household name like a lot of the other Disney movies. So there being a sequel to it doesn't make a lot of sense. And what was it in reality? Just the kind you'd expect. More dumb and kinda phoned in boring story threads you've seen every where. Granted there are a couple things that aren't that horrible, but it's not anything ground-breaking. What's the story? It opens up with John Smith being killed by Ratcliffe which means he and his troops can invade Pocahontas's people. One man thinks this is wrong so Pocahontas agrees to go with them to make this stop. So she and the settlers go to England and now she has to learn to get used to being there and learning how to live properly there. And she manages to show the people there that her people can be very intelligent, peaceful and not savages. But from there we go into stupid territory again. Is there even any point to comparing the quality of the animation to the original because, well, the original was really good looking and even for a straight to video Disney sequel, this is still pretty good, but not anything special either. Speaking of the original, it's also kinda strange that in this one, you don't always know what's going to happen unlike the first movie where you knew everything that was gonna happen. Here, that's not really the case. Okay, there are predictable moments and it's still not  good story, but it's not as painful to sit through as much as other Disney sequels and their terrible stories. But that doesn't excuse the really dumb things in this too. There's the opening and ending to the movie that are so dumb. But even with that dumb stuff, there are a fair amount of good things like the songs are good, Pocahontas's voice actress is an amazing singer. And the animation, while not as good, leaves a pretty good impact. Like the expressions. There's a scene where Pocahontas and her friend are saying goodbye. They don't say anything but the expressions on their faces is so amazing. That's really strong. There are other scenes like that. But there are other times where that's taken out by some dumb talking scene like when the king is going crazy near the end. There are even more scenes that don't make sense like when it revealed at the end of the movie that John Smith isn't really dead and they show how. Like I said, it doesn't make sense. I also don't like the climax on the ship, which is so strange because the climax is usual the best part of some of these sequels. Not all of them, but some of them. But I don't like the one here because of the weird things that happen and they even sorta try to introduce some kinda weird magic thing inside the palace scene and it just gets so dumb and frustrating. I would say if you want to, watch some of it, but I wouldn't really recommend it. It's fine as it is I guess but it's still more on the really bad side. Again, check it out if you want, I'm just not checking it out again.

101 Dalmatians: Patch's London Adventure

So another sorta middle of the road straight to video Disney sequel in my opinion is 101 Dalmatians: Patch's London Adventure. Again, is it good, no way. But it's not one of the worst of them all, there's definitely worse sequels out there. But I didn't hate this one like I hate some of the others. For me, there's some stuff here that is really bad, some stuff that I thought is kinda meh and some stuff that I thought was kinda likeable. Not a lot of things though. What's the story? The family are moving house with the Dalmatians. But one of the puppies, named Patch, is feeling out of place because he's the middle child of 99 puppies. He wants to stand out so he watches TV and sees that his hero, a dog on TV named Thunderbolt, is holding auditions for a new dog to be on his show. So Patch manages to get in but Thunderbolt doesn't realise that the creators are killing off his character and now the two of them are causing all sort of trouble. And that's not all, Cruella is back and after getting interested in art, or really dots on canvases, she wants to kidnap the puppies again so she can paint it with them. O...kay. I know she's a crazy villain but this is going insane. I would say that that might be the only thing I think is kinda entertaining about this. Seeing her go insane like this. For the rest of this, it isn't that bad and there are some redeeming qualities to it like the animation, for the most part, is fine I guess. The characters, some are kinda hard to sit through, but some are kinda likeable and some are kinda funny at times. And speaking of which, this film has a few funny moments in it. But there really isn't anything special in this movie either. I mean there's a liar revealed moment, some plotline where a kid is feeling left out  and it's all stuff we've seen before and done better in some things or not well made at all. The climax is also kinda tacked on where they have another car chase with Cruella try to catch them. But there are the other scenes that annoy me like the hero kinda character who's full of himself and thinks everyone should look up to him. I usually hate those kinda characters. One of the only few times I can imagine that kind of character work is in the Lion Guard in the Ono's Idol episode. That's the way to do it otherwise it'll just be annoying like it is here. I will say some of the voice cast is good like Patch, Cruella, the artist and the rest do fine. But the story is also sort of a rehash of the original in parts like how Cruella's trying to catch them for something, the climax is a car chase, we see some of the same thing on the TV scene and some other scenes like that. I don't know, it's just the kinda movie you might expect. It's bland at parts with a few redeeming qualities that don't entirely make up for a script like this. Again, if you're curious, go see it for yourself if you want and judge for yourself. I just didn't find it anything special. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.

Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamp's Adventure

With some of these Disney sequels seeming to be kinda close to the original in some way, Lady and the Tramp 2 is not excepting in some aspects. A lot of this film is kinda similar to the original. I'm not talking about the storytelling, even though that's kinda familiar at times too, I'm talking about things like the animation and some of the character's actions. But as a film on it's own, I don't hate it as much as I hate a lot of these other sequels, but it's still a big mess. What's the story? It opens up some time after the first movie where Lady and Tramp have puppies. Three of them are girls who look like Lady and the other is a boy who looks like Tramp, how convenient. The boy's name is Scamp and he's always getting into trouble because he wants to be wild and do whatever he wants. One day he runs away wanting to join a group of junkyard dogs. One of them named Angel is his age and they start to hit it off together with some moments together too. However, the leader of the junkyard dogs wants revenge on Tramp because he feels he betrayed them when he met Lady. And so the movie is Scamp trying to become of the junkyard dogs and Angel is trying to show him the right path while also having a difficult past. Unlike a lot of these sequels, the pacing in this is surprising pretty slow. And there are a lot of scenes that benefit from it like when a character just has to be still and feel whatever they're feeling. Those scenes work but then there are times where it's dwindling a little bit. And the characters can range from likeable to kinda unbearably clichéd. Some have voices that don't even make sense. Scamp and Angel have adult voices but they're puppies and Angel says she's been in and out of five families. How can a dog be a puppy and be in five families? Like I said, it makes no sense. It's even more nonsensical when the leader of the junkyard dog has a crush on her but he's an adult. How is any of this possible? The animation's really good but I don't think there's anything special about it. I guess that's what both these Lady and the Tramp movies were supposed to be. Enjoyable but not really anything that special. I guess I can't entirely find myself getting super into them because I don't they're my kinda movies. I do enjoy the first one because it is a good movie and it is a Disney Classic. For this though, it's pretty bad and the ending is kinda underwhelming with the climax and them having to deal with the junkyard dog leader. I will say the ending is kinda nice, I suppose, but even that has it flaws too because some things from that doesn't make a lot of sense either. So this is kind of an middle of the road movie for me a little bit because there is a small bit of charm to it, but it's still not good and I don't entirely know if I can say middle of the road movie, but still, I guess. Check it out if you want, I think it's kinda okay and kinda bad at times. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.

Tarzan & Jane

So one of the three Disney sequels that wanted to be a TV show by making a movie was this one, Tarzan & Jane. Some of these sequels aren't exactly movies. Some of them are just pilot episodes for a TV show the creators wanted to make. There's also Return of Jafar, Stitch! The Movie, Belle's Magical World and Atlantis: Milo's Return. All these movies were made just so they could kick off a TV show of these movies. And most of them didn't work. Stitch actually did work but the rest didn't either because they didn't seem like good ideas or the movies just weren't good at all. And this is sort of a mixed one for me because the movie isn't good but I remember enjoying the show a little bit as a kid. What's the story? It opens up with it being the anniversary of Tarzan and Jane's marriage. She then begins to tell a few stories with Tantor and Terk. The first is her friends from England coming and trying to save her from Tarzan even though she doesn't want to. The next is of these guy who come to trick Tarzan into telling them where some diamonds are and the last is another guy in a plane to try to kill him and kidnap Jane. And not only are these stories being told by Jane, but also rom Tantor and Terk. How? That doesn't make sense because one character will start the story and another will finish it. But that's not all. There's also the animation. I will say it looks good for a TV show because that's what they did afterwards. So as a show, it's nice. But for an almost feature length movie, it looks a little off. The voice actors themselves also seem a little off too. Some are fine but the majority of them don't sound at all like the originals. And some of the new characters are kinda annoying too like Jane's friends. One of them even has a crush on Tarzan and that can either be really funny or kinda weird. But the movie as a whole by itself is also just boring and stupidly annoying. That's really the best way to describe a lot of these. Stupidly annoying with the way they're executed. I'm talking about the other sequels there. You can either see this movie though as a movie or a bunch of TV show episodes put together into something called a movie but that doesn't entirely seem right because this is supposed to be a movie too. And as a movie starting off a TV, it's lacking and it's pointless. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.

Tarzan 2

So, kind of an interesting movie for me is this one because I remember first seeing this movie long ago when I younger. My brother rented it for me at a nearby store and so I watched and like it. But now years later, not so much. A lot of the things that happen here are just... dumb and nonsensical. What's the story? It's kind of a prequel where Tarzan is still a boy trying to fit in but he's still having a hard time doing so. But after an accident where he gets separated from the gorillas he thinks everyone would be better off if he wasn't with them so he runs away. While gone he runs into another family of gorillas. Two brothers and their mother and an older ape who's always scaring them by pretending to be this monster. He and Tarzan make a deal that if he doesn't tell them that he's not really a monster, he'll help him out. And the majority of the movie is the two of them growing to learn about each other and themselves as well. So, I will say that, while this movie isn't exactly good per say, there are actually some good things in it like some of the characters are kinda likable like the old characters and some of the new ones too. The animation looks really good and some of the character connections I kinda believed. Besides that though, this is an absolute boredom. I'm not gonna lie, I recently rewatched this movie to prep for this review and I fell asleep for a few minutes when I did. This is a story that you've seen a million times and nothing new is added to it. While, yes, some of the character connections are good and some of the new characters are kinda likeable, it doesn't excuse the fact that this is just a huge boring mess. Some of the more quiet moments are fine but the rest is watching Tarzan and the old ape binding. And again, while some of it can be nice, for the most part, it's just kinda boring because the way it's handled and the fact we've see it be done this way a bunch of times before. And some of the old characters almost kinda feel shoehorned in a little. Not a lot, just a little because of the way it's done too. That's something else that a lot of these Disney sequel have in common in terms of problems. A lot of the characters really feel one-dimensional and some of them either don't feel necessary or shoehorned in a little. Not all the sequels. Some of them do feel like they have a place, but not a lot. Some of the side characters are good here like Terk and Tantor. They're still good characters and I like them here. Can't say the same for the rest though. There is also a kind of mistake plot where Tarzan accidently reveals to the other apes about the older one being the monster that they're scared of. And that whole thing and especially with what comes right afterwards with the old ape and Tarzan arguing about doing that was really dumb because we know exactly what's going to happen when that happens. Though, I will say, like I just mentioned there, some of the quiet moments in this do actually work well like when a character is sorta being a person and they're allowed to not say anything. Those kinda scenes do work well. Not all of them but some of them do kinda get you in the feels at times. Obviously there isn't many twists in the story because this is a prequel so we know that none of the major characters are going to die. And, yeah, I'm just gonna say it, none of them do. There really aren't any surprises at all. Seriously, if I wanted to see a story like this done well, I'd watch that same kinda story from an episode of Naruto that did it better. So yeah, very small good things like animation and stuff like that that makes this not the worst but not even close to being the best either. I'd say if you're curious, you could watch it, it would just be kinda boring to ya. But in reality, I'd probably skip it. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.

Bambi 2

Remember in the last review I said the next entry was going to be better? Well, I was right. We've reached an amazing movie now in my opinion. I absolutely love this movie. Bambi 2 I think is incredible. I don't know if I can say it's perfect, but it's really close. Which is so weird for me because I don't love the first movie. I like it, I think it's really good, I just don't love it and I don't watch it often. The sequel on the other hand I love and I watch a lot. It's just that fantastic in my opinion. But first, the story. What's the story? It literally opens up right at the point where Bambi's mom dies. His dad suggests to the owl to find a replacement to raise Bambi but the owl suggests that he should do it.
After that, we get an amazing opening title where we see animals waking up.
When Bambi wakes up, his father tries to train him to act like a real prince and there's even some funny scenes with that in the opening. After that they run into Thumper and his sisters and Bambi decides to go with them to see the groundhog. There they meet Flower and Faline again and a new character named Ronno who's a mean deer and hates Bambi. Afterwards when Bambi is waiting for his dad, he hears something and thinks it's his mother. But it's just a man luring him towards him and some dogs.
Bambi then sorta comes to the realisation that his mother really is gone and never coming back and trying to come to grips with it and accepting the truth, which is really sad and heart-breaking with the way it's acted and the music to that scene. And I'll stop there. The rest is sorta Bambi trying to win his father's approval. So, before I go any further, I want to bring something up. This is sorta like what I said in my Lion King 2 review where I remember first hearing about this movie as a trailer on the DVD of Chicken Little and sorta recently I remember watching it back then and not really caring about it, but now I do. This is the trailer.
I watch that a lot now loving it and I also love this movie. There are so many things to talk about here I don't know where to even start. First off, the story is really, really fun and entreating, I'm never bored when watching it. The animation is so amazing and beautiful here, maybe one of the best looking Disney movies ever in my opinion. The characters are really lovable and the so are the actors. Alexander Gould is amazing as the voice of Bambi and Patrick Stewart is perfect as the Great Prince. I also just love Bambi in this movie and this movie made him one of my favourite Disney characters ever. The rest of the cast is also fantastic. Brendon Baerg as Thumper, Nicky Jones as Flower, Andrea Bowen as Faline. Everyone all a round does a great job. The music and songs are incredible. I love that There Is Life song. Maybe one of my favourite Disney songs ever. It just sounds really nice and I have it on my iPod too. There's also some intense scenes to, especially during the ending. The scenes between Bambi and Thumper are also fun and it feels like real kids. Same for the scenes with Bambi and his dad. Those are really nice and I like how the Great Prince sorta becomes more light hearted and a nicer guy and he accepts to be more fun and not to be all stern and strict all the time. I especially love the ending as well.
And also, I only first saw this movie September of last year and so that's where I got interested in it. And I remember seeing the ending and sorta me feel something and one night after I got the movie on DVD this year, I sorta cried a little because I felt it again. There's also a feeling that this movie is sorta wanting to be the first movie again. And, while I don't know if I can say it truly is because I do think some things like some of the characters are different, I think it is a good try. And it's so interesting how a lot of the people behind this, especially the directors, were really passionate about this and with what they said about it. Watch the making of it.
I really don't know how many other good things to say. This is just an incredible movie in my opinion. I love it, I'm happy I have it on DVD and I can't wait to watch it another thousand times. Again, maybe my first or second favourite straight to video Disney sequel next to the Lion King 2. So yeah, I'm definitely recommending you go see this. It is amazing in my opinion. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.

Belle's Magical World

Well, here we are, Belle's Magical World. The number 1 or number 2 most despised Disney straight to video sequel ever next to another one we'll get to later. This could honestly be a really short entry because, for one thing, it doesn't have an actual plot. It's just a bunch of horrible stories put together in this absolutely stupid movie, if you really want to call it that. There's one where Belle and Beast fight over who's going to apologise, there's one with Lumiere is still in love with that woman who became the duster, there's one with Mrs. Potts feeling left out and then there's one with a bird. And that's it. There's not even any ending to any of these. They're just there and that's it. Nothing else. How do count that as a movie. In fact, look at this cover...
Image result for belle's magical world cover
It shows Belle in the dress but that's not even here. How dumb is that. And to make it worse, this animation is so awful. Like so, so, so bad. This is absolutely horrible animation. It's bad to look at. There's even that weird face on Belle that everyone always makes fun of. No, really, everyone.

That is creepy. So yeah. Like I said, this is a short review because this movie is so dumb and pathetic. Horrible movie. Skip it. Hopefully the next one's better.

Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas

So now we move onto maybe the most despised Disney duo sequels. I say duo because there's this and also Belle's Magical World, which is most likely the number 1 or second most hated Disney sequel. But we'll get to that later. This movie is sort of a prequel to the original, sorta, where we see Belle at the palace when the prince is still the Beast. And it's Christmas time now. But it turns out the Beast hates Christmas, of course, because Christmas was the same day he was transformed by the enchantress. And to make things worse, there's this villain who's an organ who was also transformed like he was. And he wants the Beast to play him forever and he'll stay away from everyone. So while Belle is trying to bring Christmas joy to the palace, Beast is being manipulated by the organ. There's also this living angel ornament named Angelique who also hates because she feels it brings nothing but sorrow. So, sorta along the same lines as most of these sequels, this movie's budget is definitely cut less than the original so we sorta have to take the animation we're given. And, in terms of the animation, it's actually pretty nice. The colours are nice to look at and, while nothing really special or fantastic like Lion King 2or something, it's fine. Especially the organ. He looks so cool. He's all C.G.I, but sorta fits and looks cool. They even know how to properly animate snow and things like that. Aside from that though, there's not much to talk about. The characters are so bland in this and the songs don't sound right at all or don't feel like they had enough time to be finished or properly be songs. A lot of things in this are also nonsensical like the climax against the organ. Which doesn't make any sense where it tries to destroy the castle. That is so stupid. Especially the way it's done.
Come on, it's a sequel to the original Beauty and the Beast movie. One of the most beloved Disney Classics ever and the first animated movie to be nominated for Best Picture. You'd think they make something better than this. The same especially goes for the next one in particular. But, really what do you expect from a movie like this? Sure there are Disney straight to video sequels that are good, but at least they're entertaining and fun to watch. The majority like this are just better left forgotten. So yeah, has a couple things that shine, the rest is stuff to make this an easy skip in my opinion. Again, sorry this is kinda short but there really isn't much to say, it's just the kinda movie you'd expect. Dumb and not worth your time.

The Lion King 1½

Yeah, this sounds like a really strange title for a movie. Think about it, the Lion King 1½ . But, when you watch the movie yourself, you understand why. As for the movie itself, it's fine I guess. Nothing fantastic like the first movie or the second movie, but still pretty enjoyable. What's the story? Actually the story is all focused on Timon and Pumbaa and showing what they were doing during the first movie before they met Simba and it shows they were at a lot of the places he was at. But before that we have a small plot where Timon is an outcast among his other meerkats but one day he's put in charge of watching out for hyenas. But he gets distracted, the hyenas attack his family so now he has to go on his own. While travelling, he meets Pumbaa, they form a friendship and, as I said, they're basically inserted into a bunch of scenes from the first Lion King movie and we even see some parts with them and Simba when he's a teenager until an adult. And with that there are some funny moments like this scene...
... but there aren't any really good songs here. Which is strange because the original Lion King is one of the most popular Disney musicals ever. The animation's really good. The Lion King franchise always has really great animation. And I think, overall, the best way I can describe this movie is that it's a pretty movie that you can enjoy fine, but it's not really anything special. Granted the beginning where we see Timon and his mother is nice but that doesn't entirely go anywhere. Though I do sorta remember liking how this was kinda connected to the Timon and Pumbaa show on TV and I remember liking that a little more. I don't know, I really don't have a lot to say except it's a movie focused entirely on Timon and Pumbaa. I really like these two but this just isn't the right way to give them their own movie. So yeah, it's fine. It's funny and it looks nice, just nothing in it really stood out to me that much. Sorry this isn't really long, I just don't have a lot to say about this. Check it out if you want, it just not one of my personal favourites but I still liked it fine.

New Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer

OH MY GOD. I didn't see this coming at all. A few minutes ago, we got a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3. I absolutely lost my mind when I saw this. It's because E3 is coming up and I heard some people saying we weren't getting a trailer but here it is. And it says we're getting another new trailer on the 15th of July, the day right after my birthday. My brother and I just made a joke thinking that maybe it'll be a late birthday present for their biggest fan, ME. I'm losing my mind right now and I'm so excited. This trailer looks so good and we finally get a few cutscenes. Here it is and I hope you like it and are as excited for it as me. Well, okay, you can't be more excited than me, but still. Enjoy.

The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride

Well everyone, now we've come to one of the most fantastic Disney straight to video movies out there in my opinion and one of only two that I love, the Lion King 2: Simba's Pride. I think this is an absolutely fantastic movie and I love it a lot. Again, not perfect but still undeniably really fun and enjoyable and one of the best Disney sequels ever in my opinion. And I'm not just talking about the straight to video sequels, I mean in general. This is one of the only Disney straight to video sequels I have on DVD and I love to watch it a lot. And, no, not just because of the Lion Guard. But because I really, really love this movie. But first, what's the story? Simba and Nala have given birth to a little cub named Kiara. Years later when she's still a cub, she's just as energetic and playful as Simba was at that age. One day when she's off by herself she goes into the Outlands and meets another cub there named Kovu and they're having fun for a second until we meet his mother, Zira and her and Simba argue and both Kiara and Kovu are taken away.
However, now Zira has a plan. She was originally close to Scar and wants to get the Pride Lands back for him so she's going to use Kovu to pretend to be friends with Kiara so he can get close to Simba and kill him. Years later they both grow up and even Rafiki has a plan.
And then this happens.
But eventually Kovu and Kiara begin a real romance which causes bad things on both sides. I remember first hearing about this movie when I was a really young kid and watching A Bug's Life on video and this was one of the trailers before the movie. This is the trailer.
That trailer is sorta nostalgic for me, but I also remember watching it thinking I would really like to watch it and years later, I watched it and I loved it and I still do. I think I remember watching this when I was young at a friend's house and I think I have some memories of that. I can't remember exactly, I just said think there. But anyway, this movie is brilliant. Really great in my opinion. And I know what you might be thinking, "Well, Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 did the same thing and you hated that movie, so why do you love this movie so much?" Well, that is true, but here, it's just the execution of the story is so much better than Hunchback 2. And the characters, dialogue, animation, songs and writing are also a lot better. I already stated before that I think Kiara and Kovu are one of my favourite Disney partners or teams and maybe just characters of all time. I love these two. Simba, Nala, Timon, Pumba and all the returning characters are great again. But the other new ones are great too. Zira's a cool villain and so is Nuka and I really like Vitani as well. This animation is also fantastic, one of the best looking Disney sequels ever in my opinion. And I really love the songs too. There's only one I don't really like all that much, but besides that one, I love the rest. Listen.
I would think that He Lives In You is the most popular as I've heard. I'm also not one for romances or love songs, but both of those are fantastic here. I actually kinda believed the chemistry between Kiara and Kovu. And, again, I'm not just saying all this stuff because of the Lion Guard and stuff like that, I really do love this movie and think it's one of the best Disney sequels ever and one of the best animated sequels ever. I also love the movie's ending too.
But, as much as I love it, it's not perfect. It's close, but it's not and it's definitely not as good as the first Lion King. Firstly, there's that one song called Upendi which, is fine and is nice to listen to, but I don't know if I really like it all that much. And the second problem I have with it is that I feel some aspects of it are kinda similar to the first movie. But I don't know if I can say that that's necessarily a flaw. I love this movie and can't wait to see how the end of the Lion Guard ties into this one. As I said, maybe they'll remake this movie or something like that. So yeah, as you couldn't tell, I'm of course recommending that you go see this if you haven't already because it just might be my favourite straight to video Disney sequel along with another one that we'll get to soon. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.

New Black Panther Teaser

So, this is a huge surprise to me, because earlier we got the first Black Panther teaser trailer. Also yesterday, we got to see a new poster as well. Here it is.

And the trailer looks awesome. This is super awesome and Chadwick Boseman is still looking great as T'Challa/Black Panther. We don't see any villain in this or anything like that and I have a weird feeling that Captain America will be in this because, if you remember, Wankanda is where he was last time at the end of Civil War, but we don't see him and that's perfect. This is still my second my second most anticipated movie of next year as of right now behind Avengers: Infinity War. Here's the teaser and I hope you all like it.

My top 5 underrated movies of 2016

So this is a really late entry for me, but I was originally thinking of doing this entry at around New Year's Day, but wasn't able to because I hadn't watched many movies at that point that I thought were underrated, but recently I've seen more movies of 2016 and so now I'm doing this list now. Again, sorry it's such an incredibly late entry here, but I just couldn't at the start of the year and so here it is. And so I hope you all like this and I do hope you watch these movies if you haven't already. So, let's begin.
5. Kung Fu Panda 3:

Starting us off is the only DreamWorks movie I saw last year. This was such a good time at the cinema but for some reason, it disappeared really fast as soon as it left theatres and I hadn't heard a single thing since then about it except from one YouTuber but that's it. It may not have been anything special I guess, but I still had a fun time with this and I thought it was a pretty underrated movie.
4. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them:
Image result for fantastic beasts and where to find them poster
Next up is the ninth instalment in the Harry Potter franchise. Like I was just saying, I had a great time with this movie and I appreciated everyone's effort in this movie, especially the actors like Eddie Redmayne and all the others. I also really respected the directing and writing from David Yates and J.K Rowling. And together, they made a fun, funny and exciting movie that I feel didn't get the attention I thought it deserved. If you haven't seen this movie yet and you're a Harry Potter fan, do go see this because it is a really great movie in my opinion.
3. The Nice Guys:
Image result for the nice guys movie 2016
This movie is the reason I'm making this list. I literally only saw this today on Netflix. The reason I checked it out is because I had heard a ton of great things about it before I saw it and one YouTuber said it was his favourite movie of last year. And I can see why. I don't know if I can say I really loved it, but I did love parts of it and I had a great and hilarious time with this movie. This movie made no money when it was released last year and so if you haven't seen it yet, definitely do. This story is such an amazingly original one and the mystery was engrossing the whole time. It stars Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe who are on a case to find a person who was involved with another person who died recently. I think the lines and cinematography are fantastic in this and I had a hilarious time with this today. As I said, go out and see this and support this movie if you haven't already.
2. Moana:
Image result for Moana poster
Now we come to the movies I loved last year and starting us off is my third favourite movie of 2016 and that is Moana. While not as good as Zootropolis, I absolutely fell in love with this movie and I still do. I've watched this movie so many times on DVD and listened to the soundtrack on my iPod a lot too. People thought there wasn't that much on this movie's mind and didn't have as much on it's surface. But I didn't see that and I still loved everything in this and thought it was a really special movie with fantastic characters (Moana herself now being one of my favourite Disney characters ever), beautiful animation, fantastic pacing, really, really hilarious scenes, incredible voice acting talent, quotable lines left and right, a great message and a fantastic dynamic between Moana and Maui. This might, and remember, I said "might," be one of my favourite Disney movies ever and I love it. If you haven't seen this movie yet, but even if you have, see it again. You might have a different opinion. I doubt you'll love it as much as I do, but still.
And my number 1 underrated movie of 2016 is... X-Men: Apocalypse:
Image result for x-men apocalypse
Was there any doubt? I don't get the hate for this movie at all. I thought this movie was awesome. I really, really enjoyed this movie. I don't love it, but the reason it's higher than Moana on this list is because this movie was trashed by critics, but I don't get why. This was such a fun movie with amazing performances from almost all the cast, incredible action, cool visuals, a mostly well paced story, a cool villain with Apocalypse and I thought this movie was awesome. Yes, as I said before, there are flaws with it, but there are more positives than negatives in my opinion and I have absolutely no idea why this movie was hated by critics. If you didn't see this movie at all yet, I recommend it strongly. You will like it and have a great time with it. I promise. Especially if you like comic book movies and have watched the other X-Men movies before it. And so everyone, that's my list for my top 5 most underrated movies of 2016. Thank you all for reading, please see these movies if you haven't yet and please comment down below to tell me what you think or tell me what you thought the most underrated movie of last year was.

Leroy & Stitch

So with me not liking Lilo & Stitch 2, but really enjoying Stitch! The Movie, I was a little cautiously optimistic about watching this the first time a few years ago. But I will say that I was more optimistic than cautious. Especially with me also really liking the Lilo & Stitch show that this movie was ending. What's the story? Now that Lilo and Stitch have found all the experiments and found each a place to belong, they're rewarded along with Jumba and Pleakley. But, the down side is that Stitch, Jumba and Pleakley will be sent away for their rewards and Lilo is going to miss them but then they decide to stay for her. But then she feels guilty for making them sorta feel this way and decides to let them go off doing what they were rewarded. Stitch is the captain of his ship, Jumba is back in his old lab and Pleakley is a professor in a space school. But they're all missing each other now. Especially Lilo and Stitch. However, Gantu is back and he breaks Hamsterviel out of prison. They go to Jumba's lab and force him to make another experiment that'll only serve Hamsterviel. So he does and he looks like Stitch but with red fur.
Image result for leroy vs stitch
Hamsterviel names him Leroy and he and Stitch fight.
Lilo eventually finds out and teams up with Experiment 625 who she names Ruben. And I like him a lot in this. The two of them then go off into space to help Stitch and the others. Just like the last Lilo & Stitch movie, the animation is really good. I think this movie was made by the same people who did the show and so this looks amazing for that type of studio. The characters in this are also the best I've seen them in for a while. Lilo and Stitch are still great, but the so are the rest Jumba, Pleakley and I like how a lot of the villains turn good in this movie like Ruben and even Gantu turns into a good guy at the end which was nice to see. And Hamsterviel is pretty funny a lot here too. Leroy is also a really cool villain and they manage to make him funny every once in a while too. I also kinda like the more quiet moments where the characters are just being still and being people, if you know what I mean. And the end fight scene with all the experiments vs all the Leroys is awesome and the animation is so good here. Watch.
Really, the whole adventure aspect of this movie I think is the most fun part. This is pretty fun movie. But, with that, is it really a great movie. I guess not. There are some noticeable flaws like a bit of the pacing, the ending to the climax and Nani isn't in this that much and she still isn't all that interesting. As well as some things that don't make a whole lot of sense. But, as a final outing for Stitch with Lilo, this was just such a fun time. They're still great together. This was also the last time we'll see them together before the Stitch anime started with Stitch and Yuna, which, again, I love and I do think is a show you should watch. And I do think you should check this movie out too. And so everyone, that's my review of Leroy & Stitch. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.
