Cinderella 3: A Twist In Time

So now after a long ride of disappointing Disney sequels, we've returned to the great ones again. Cinderella 3 is a really great movie in my opinion. Not anything special like Lion King 2 or Bambi 2, but still a great movie and I'm kinda surprised how much I enjoyed it. Everyone's always saying this is a great Disney sequel and I'm pretty sure my brother and sister said they like it too. So with all that, I was really excited when I rewatched this movie after a few years because I remember watching it a few years ago but I rewatched it recently to do this review. What's the story? Cinderella and Prince Charming are having some kinda party but then the Fairy Godmother loses her wand and the evil stepmother and stepsisters find it. They turn the Fairy Godmother to stone and use it to reverse time to when Cinderella put the slipper on. They make it so that Anastasia is able to put on the slipper and Cinderella is left with nothing. The stepmother and stepsisters are brought to the palace and they hypnotise the prince to make him think that Anastasia is the one he fell in love with. So now Cinderella has to sneak into palace and not get caught trying to fix everything. So firstly, the biggest thing that's improved on the second movie is that the villains in this are in it more an they're just as maniacal as ever. Some are even kinda sympathetic at times like Anastasia. She was pretty likeable in the second movie but she's a lot more likeable here and they even give her a bit more of a character. Some of the others are more likeable too like the king and Prince Charming. The king is more sentimental like we get some backstory with him. He says he lost his wife and especially wants Prince Charming to get married so he can not only have grandchildren, but also so he can pass on this piece of jewellery that his wife had and it's pretty nice. Prince Charming is better too. He only had one line the first movie but here, he has a personality and we get a little more of him and we get to know him more. He's a very nice guy who sorta has these thoughts of his own and he does want to get with the right person. Very nice guy to watch. The animation is amazing and awesome. The villains, as I said, are in this a lot and so we get some great expressions with them, but the rest are great too and the imagery surrounding them is incredible. Especially the effects they use like whenever Lady Tremaine is using the magic wand. And another thing that's awesome is the climax inside the palace. There's green lights and magic everywhere, they nonstop craziness, she's turning people into animals. She's almost unstoppable. And when they do manage to beat her and the other stepsister at the end and Anastasia is completely a nice person is great to see too. Even when Cinderella and Prince Charming are being reunited and everything goes back to normal is really nice to see. It's also cool when Lady Tremaine throws Cinderella into this pumpkin and she's making it rot with Lucifer as a human about to drive it off a cliff. That scene was intense and a fantastic action scene. But with all that, is this perfect? No, there are a few problems like there's this thing that goes on throughout the movie with touching a person's hand means your in love. That seems really repetitive and odd at points. And Cinderella herself is kinda the same as last time as in she sorta doesn't seem like she should be at points. Not bad and she is really good here, just not portrayed at her best. But even with that, this is still a great Disney sequel. It's a super fun time and I really do recommend this one. I hope you do check it out because it is super fun. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.
