Tarzan & Jane
So one of the three Disney sequels that wanted to be a TV show by making a movie was this one, Tarzan & Jane. Some of these sequels aren't exactly movies. Some of them are just pilot episodes for a TV show the creators wanted to make. There's also Return of Jafar, Stitch! The Movie, Belle's Magical World and Atlantis: Milo's Return. All these movies were made just so they could kick off a TV show of these movies. And most of them didn't work. Stitch actually did work but the rest didn't either because they didn't seem like good ideas or the movies just weren't good at all. And this is sort of a mixed one for me because the movie isn't good but I remember enjoying the show a little bit as a kid. What's the story? It opens up with it being the anniversary of Tarzan and Jane's marriage. She then begins to tell a few stories with Tantor and Terk. The first is her friends from England coming and trying to save her from Tarzan even though she doesn't want to. The next is of these guy who come to trick Tarzan into telling them where some diamonds are and the last is another guy in a plane to try to kill him and kidnap Jane. And not only are these stories being told by Jane, but also rom Tantor and Terk. How? That doesn't make sense because one character will start the story and another will finish it. But that's not all. There's also the animation. I will say it looks good for a TV show because that's what they did afterwards. So as a show, it's nice. But for an almost feature length movie, it looks a little off. The voice actors themselves also seem a little off too. Some are fine but the majority of them don't sound at all like the originals. And some of the new characters are kinda annoying too like Jane's friends. One of them even has a crush on Tarzan and that can either be really funny or kinda weird. But the movie as a whole by itself is also just boring and stupidly annoying. That's really the best way to describe a lot of these. Stupidly annoying with the way they're executed. I'm talking about the other sequels there. You can either see this movie though as a movie or a bunch of TV show episodes put together into something called a movie but that doesn't entirely seem right because this is supposed to be a movie too. And as a movie starting off a TV, it's lacking and it's pointless. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.
