Atlantis: Milo's Return

So, remember when I said before about Disney sequels that were just made so they could set up a TV show, this is one I accidently left out. Milo's Return is the last of these TV show set up movie things. (Okay, this and Belle's Magic World as well, but whatever.) And to make it worse, this is another one that's considered one of the most despised Disney sequels. Especially with YouTubers like Animat. On top of that, the people behind this movie, before this come out, never came forward and just said that this is a set up movie for a show. If they did and they just confessed it, then it would be a little more forgiving. But no. We have a bunch of nonsensical, lazy, non connecting stories that don't even flow properly. It starts off with Milo still in Atlantis with Kida when his friends come by and explain they were attacked by some kinda Atlantian like monster. After that, there's another story about these Wind Coyotes in the dessert and the last story is this crazy guy who thinks he's Odin and steals this staff thing from Atlantis. He even mistakes Kida as his daughter. As stories themselves, they all seem really random and feel like they belong in something else. The animation's also kinda weird for a movie. For a TV show it is good, but for a feature length "movie," it seems a little out of place. And the reason I did that with movie is that I never feel that movies with these small stories for these segments are really movies entirely. I feel they're just there for Disney to make some small excuse to do these shows and get some money in exchange, if you know what I mean. Some of these stories don't even entirely make sense. Like there's the first story with this water monster and there's this guy who looks like he's controlling it but it also looks like it could be controlling him with these glowing eyes. It's never explained what happens. There's a lot of scenes like that with just some unanswered questions. On top of that, there are a lot of missed opportunities here. Like, great example, there're scenes where we find out who're doing these things. Like the sea monster and the Coyotes and we can really find out more about it but they choose to just brush over all of it. Some else the movie misses is sorta what the original did better and that's explore the characters better and make a lot of the culture in these environments interesting. This doesn't really try to show that here. It really feels like they just wanted to get us through everything and have the movie be over faster. Which is sort of a shame. The side characters were awesome in he first movie. They had likeable personalities, they were funny and they were characters you cared about. Here, they're barely in the movie to get any kinda real character out of any of them. But, with that bad stuff, and this is a really bad movie, there were some cool ideas like this creature thing that they have that was made in molten lava so it can stand in fire. That's cool. And some of the locations they explore look cool...  guess. Other than that though, it's pretty much what you'd expect. It's boring, stupid, it makes no sense and it's an obvious skip. Thank you all for reading and please comment down bellow to tell me what you think.
