Thor: The Dark World

Like the other Thor review let's start with the story. What's the story? In the past Odin's father stopped an evil villain called "Malekith" play by "Christopher Eccleston" from getting his hands on a powerful material called the "Aether" to destroy the 9 realms. They captured the Aether and hid it away. Years later when Jane, Darcy and a new friend of theirs to see something, Jane finds the Aether and it goes inside her body and is destroying her from the inside. Thor then arrives and takes her to Asgard where Odin explains what it is and what it's doing. After that Malekith arrives to get the Aether but is stopped but in the process he kills Thor's mother. And decides to take Jane and Loki away to help destroy the Aether. While on a new planet they try it but Malekith gets the Aether and even Loki is killed, kind of. And what follows is probably one of the coolest, intense and funniest Marvel climaxes ever. So what's good about this movie? Well I'd have to say one of my favourite parts is Malekith, who's actually a really cool villain and Christopher Eccleston actually does do a pretty cool performance and a very threatening one. Another is once again the other cast. And actually there's much better action scenes in this and a lot more than the first one. This is one of the lowest rated Marvel films on Rotten Tomatoes with only 65%. And the ending where we find out Loki's not dead is a big surprise. He's still my favourite Marvel villain though. So, yeah. Once again I still think this movie is really good so yeah I'd say it's watchable and it is really funny.
