My top 10 Sonic the Hedgehog villains

So the last of these top villains of anime is something a little bit different. This one being my favourite Sonic the Hedgehog villains. And this list will cover everything Sonic related, whether it's the games or TV shows or anything. In my opinion, Sonic has some of the most famous villains in video game history, and I'm here to count down my 10 favourites right now. And so, let's begin and I hope you all enjoy.
10. Mecha Sonic:

Starting us off is one of the first robots Eggman made of Sonic to try to kill him, Mecha Sonic. Being one of the main villains in Sonic and Knuckles, he's able to take power from the Master Emerald and use it to charge up his own power and gain new powers like shooting energy blasts from his chest. Sure, Sonic was able to beat him easily, but, before that, with him being able to absorb the Master Emerald power, that was pretty cool and the fight with him is pretty fun too.
9. Erazor Djinn:

At number 9 is, actually, one of the cooler, but also, surprisingly, one of the more forgettable Sonic villains. This guy, along with a couple of other Sonic villains have the same problem a lot of the M.C.U villains have, that being the characters not being all that memorable. But, even though he may not be super memorable, he's still pretty cool and his voice is cool too. And, even though it's kinda over the top, the end battle with him turning into that huge monster, I thought that was pretty awesome too.
8. Jet:

Now we get into one of villains who's a lot like Sonic in many ways. When Jet was first introduced, he was known to be the fastest thing alive on his gear. But after learning about Sonic from Eggman, he decided that he wanted to try to race Sonic to determine who really was the faster one. And he and his team began to go up against Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. The two of them were really great together and I really enjoyed them interact.
7. Mephiles:

No matter what anyone says about Sonic '06, one of the few things that people kinda like about it is the main villain, Mephiles. This guys is so cool. In the past he was created when the king of Soleanna tried to access Solaris's power, but it backfired and Mephiles was created along with Iblis. In the present, he took form of Shadow when he was set free from the Sceptre of Darkness. He has the ability to control time, shoot blasts of energy, multiply himself and he's also the only character to ever kill Sonic. Probably one of the strongest Sonic villains to date and one of the best designed after he transforms himself and one of the only few good things about Sonic '06.
6. Eggman Nega:

At number 5 is the descendent Eggman and the creator of Metal Sonic 3.0 as well as the main villain in Sonic Rivals. Mainly being the main enemy of Silver, he does whatever it takes to rule what's in their world in their time with him hoping to revive a monster called the Ifrit. While not an alternate version of Eggman like many suspected, he's still pretty cool and intimidating.
5. Chaos:

Whether this is really true or not, Chaos himself was pretty cool in Sonic Adventure. Eggman found him and released him from the Master Emerald and used him to o his bidding. With the more and more Chaos Emeralds he consumes, the bigger and stronger he gets. And when he absorbs all of them, he becomes Perfect Chaos which is able to flood an entire city with Sonic having to use Super Sonic in order to defeat it and turn Chaos back to normal.

4. Infinite:

Now we come to the most recently created Sonic villain, that being Infinite from Sonic Forces. This almost kinda ghost like character who Eggman commanded by using his Phantom Ruby. When Eggman hired him, he was hoping to get him and his army to defend his base for him and Infinite was able to fight Shadow as well as make it look like he killed Sonic. He has many powers like teleportation, super speed, flying and telekinesis.
3. Eggman:

At number 3 is the main villain of the entire franchise, Dr. Eggman. This mad scientist has done everything he can for over 25 years to kill Sonic and take over the world, but ever time he has, Sonic is always there to stop him. Still though, ya gotta give him credit for never give up. And, while he really comes off as super intimidating, he's still really enjoyable and even funny at some points. He can be kinda threatening when he unleashes his bigger piolet controlled robots. And his evil plan list is humongous. He released Chaos on the world, meddled with time twice, build an army of countless robot minions, released Shadow, destroyed the Whips' planets, has stolen the Chaos Emeralds dozens of times, destroyed the planet into pieces which helped unleash Dark Gaia and the list goes on. He may not be the most notorious villain in gaming history, but his acts alone are a solid enough reason to place him high up as one of the greatest ever and one of the most well-known.
2. Dark Oak:

Coming in close to number 1 is the leader of the Metarex, Dark Oak. While everyone will most likely disagree with me on this, I personally really like this guy and think he's a great villain for the series. This huge robot looking creature was once one of Cosmo's creatures, but after becoming obsessed with power to defeat an enemy they were fighting, Earthia tried to destroy him along with the other soldiers who posed as a threat to the universe. However, it failed and they rebuilt themselves as the Metarex with Lucas transforming into Dark Oak and becoming the Metarex's leader. And the whole thing he's doing throughout the whole show during season 3 is really cool and I loved him as the villain.
And my number 1 favourite Sonic the Hedgehog villain is... Metal Sonic:

And finally at number 1 is Eggman's greatest creation and the best Sonic the Hedgehog villain ever made, Metal Sonic. After getting to see Sonic in action twice, Eggman knew he needed something that could match Sonic and kill him with him creating this monstrous robot of Sonic calling him Metal Sonic. This guy is insane when it comes to power. In Sonic CD, he was there for a race and if you win, Eggman accidently destroys him, but then, later on in Sonic Heroes, he returned even stronger with the ability to copy the other's powers and use them against them. And then, finally, at the very end, he transforms into the Metal Overlord who's even stronger with the ability to shoot blasts, missiles, fire and can even fly and fire crystals and even goes so far as to proclaim himself as the real Sonic and call Sonic a loathsome copy.
