Continuing my lists of villains of anime is my last one of anime. That means that the next list I do will be of something a little different. We'll come to that one next. But, for now, we have the list of my favourite villains from Fairy Tail. This one was probably the hardest to make compared to the other ones I made because Fairy Tail doesn't really have a huge amount of villains or even super well-known ones. So I had to think of the different villains I've seen so far and think of which villains I liked the most out of them. And so, let's start and I hope you all enjoy.
10. Byro:
Starting us off is the calm and collected leader of group who planned to take the piece from the Infinity Clock and the counterpart to the other Byro from Edolas. When he was introduced, he planned to kidnap Lucy with his group and take the piece of the clock. While he may have been doing it to save everyone, the way he went about was what made him a villain. Especially when he and Gildarts fought. Thankfully he realised what he had done and became good at the end of that storyline, but he was still a pretty cool villain.
9. Lyon:
Next is Gray's childhood friend and another Ice Make magic user, Lyon. As a child, he was convinced that their master Ur was the strongest wizard alive and was dead set to prove he was better. But after it looked like Ur had sacrificed herself to seal the monster Deliora in ice, he became determined to melt the ice so he could fight it and prove he was a better wizard. But after it was revealed that Ur had already depleted Deliora's life-force when Natsu attacked it, he began thinking of joining a guild and becoming a better wizard and a better person. Before he became a good guy, he was the main villain during the Galuna Island story and he was pretty cool and it's pretty despicable that he was willing to destroy the Iced Shell when he knew that Ur was the ice herself. And, like I said before, during that story, I really liked the interactions between him and Gray during that story.
8. Guttman:
This huge block-like creature might be one of the most brutal villains in the entire series. A member of the new Oracion Seis, he was one of the other people hoping to collect the Infinity Clock pieces, but only so his master could fulfil his wish. And, when I say he might be one of the most brutal villains in the series, I'm talking about the fact that he loves torturing people and causing them a huge amount of pain, especially with using his magic to blast them.
7. Midnight:
When this guy was first shown, he was part of the original Oracion Seis who were searching for Nivana. When he joined the fight, he could dish out some powerful magic with using sleep magic. And then in the filler arc of the Infinity Clock, he was the leader of the new Oracion Seis. And with that he decided to use this to carry out his father's legacy who was the original leader who Fairy Tail beat prior to that.
6. Laxus:
At number 6 is Makarov's grandson and originally a jerk, Laxus. When Laxus was introduced, he was nothing but a self-centred jerk who didn't care about anyone except himself. He was originally planning to take the guild for himself and make sure no one got in his way. He hated Natsu and planned to kill him no matter what. And he was so despicable. The way he acted and what he did to the other guild members made him beyond unlikeable. And then at the end of that story, he became much more likeable.
5. Ultear:
This woman was actually almost like the main villain for a long time. She manipulated Jellal and possessed him to make him think he was possessed by Zeref and organised one of the attacks during the Fairy Tail S-class tests with her attacking Gray. And all this because she's actually Ur's daughter and she thought Ur had abandoned her to be tortured as a child. Ever since then, she planned to get revenge and began doing truly terrible things and hoping to destroy so much.
4. Hades:
Next up is Fairy Tail's former master and Makarov's former master, Hades. This guy was never a joke when he was introduced and attacked Tenrou Island when during S-class exam. He and his new group decided to attack Fairy Tail while trying to find Zeref on the island and he even went up again Makarov and beat him. But then, finally he defeated by Natsu and was killed by Zeref when he found him on his ship. And the final fight between him, Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Erza and Wendy is awesome. Watch.
3. Erza Knightwalker:
At number 3 is Erza's Edolas counterpart and the version of her that's really despicable. When in Edolas, this Erza's a captain serving the king. And, man, is she horrible here. She does really terrible things and even some annoying things. And, when I say annoying, I mean, when it looks like Fairy Tail's about to win or do something, she always manages to stop it or get in the way. I think that that makes a really great villain. If they're able to creating that feeling inside you and make you hate them. And Knightwalker's one of them.
2. Acnologia:
Coming in close to number 1 is the humongous evil dragon who was originally a human, Acnologia. This huge powerful dragon was first shown on Tenrou Island when the members of Fairy Tail were doing their S-class test and he appeared and attacked them, which is what caused the founder of Fairy Tail to put them to sleep for seven years. And as well as that, Acnologia also caused, probably, the saddest moment in the entire series when he killed Igneel. Watch.
And my number 1 favourite Fairy Tail villain is... Faust:
And finally at number 1 is the king of Edolas and, in my opinion, the most despicable of all the Fairy Tail villains, Faust. This old king was the one responsible for transporting Fairy Tail to Edolas in the hopes of transforming them all into a lacrima for ever lasting power. He even went so far as to attack the Exceeds and try to kill them all by smashing the lacrima into them. But when Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Wendy, Gray, Happy, Gajeel, Carla and Panther Lily along with the other Exceeds stopped him, he went to use the Dorma Anim, A.K.A, dragon armour. Watch this.
And through all that, he was doing other terrible things that made him a great villain and my personal favourite out of all the Fairy Tail villains.
