My top 5 fights in the M.C.U Phase 1

So, for these next couple of entries, I wanna talk about my favourite fight scenes from the three phases from the M.C.U. The first of these is obviously Phase One. Also, these aren't what are considered the absolute best in these three phases, they're just my top 5 favourites. Phase One, I think, had some of the most underrated action scenes in the entire M.C.U and I want to go over some of them too just because they're really awesome. And so, here we go and I hope you all like this.
5. Cap vs. Red Skull (Captain America: The First Avenger):
Starting us off at number 5 is the final fight in Cap's first solo movie. At the end of the First Avenger, the Red Skull is planning to bomb a bunch of cities around the world and New York is his first stop. So Cap jumps into his bomber plane to stop him. And, once he gets onboard, the two of them engage in a fist fight and a really impressive one with this being a fight between a pretty iconic enemies from the comics. And, unlike the terrible 1990 Captain America film, this actually makes them look awesome and some of the blows feel really painful too.
4. Iron Man and War Machine vs. Hammer Drones (Iron Man 2):
While this fight may seem a bit underwhelming to some people, I think this is one of the best Phase One fights. And I don't just mean the fight where Tony and Rhodey destroy them all that dome thing, but also the part where Ivan takes control of Rhodey's armour and the drones and have them chase him. That part is great too, but the whole exchange between Tony and Rhodey against the drones is the best part. And it's really cool when Ivan arrives and we get a great fight scene with the two of them against him. But the fight with the two of them against the drone is great too with amazing visuals, great ideas, great banter and awesome ways to destroy the drones. Especially when Tony uses those lasers to destroy them all.
3. Iron Man vs. Iron Monger (Iron Man):
Next at number 3 is the first climax in the M.C.U. After Obadiah steals Tony's arc reactor to power his Iron Monger armour, he goes on a rampage to try to kill Pepper until Tony then flies in and we get an awesome fight between the two of them. And, this is like what I was saying about the drone fight, due to the great visuals and camerawork, the fight feels so cool in that sense and it's great to see these two Iron Man armours in real life fighting like this. And the final part where Obadiah dies from falling into the reactor is super brutal, kinda extreme but still great. And I'm impressed with how it looked considering the fact this was made in 2008. The visuals in the whole movie are great, and the final fight shows that off perfectly.
2. Iron Man vs. Terrorists (Iron Man):
Coming in close to number 1 is a fight that I think is one of the more realistic and brutal fights in the M.C.U, the Iron Man vs. Terrorists fight. And, when I say realistic, I'm talking about how the impact of the blows from the punches and attacks feel real. When you watch the fight, you see Tony punching some guys with the suit and then blasting them and because of the visuals and the sound design in it, it feels real and really brutal, which is something the M.C.U does really well. Plus, it's also just an awesome scene in general with him just taking out these guys with him shooting them in the head and then destroying a tank with a missile.
And my number 1 favourite M.C.U Phase One fight is... The Avengers vs. The Chitauri (The Avengers):
And finally at number 1 is the climactic battle from the first Avengers film. Given how huge a spectacle this is, I can only imagine how thrilling this must have been in the cinemas back in 2012. Not only is there phenomenal action, but it's being done by characters we've followed for four years now and with five previous movies all building up to this. And, I know I've said this before in another post, but it's great to see all these heroes going their different abilities to take out the Chitauri along with amazing music and hilarious banter between all six of them. And, despite it being the first Avengers movie, it feels so satisfying and it feels like a real payoff for these characters finally coming together after all this. It's done in a way where it's never boring like some other movies that try to do huge epic fight scenes like this. A good part of that is the fact that it's paced perfectly and it never goes on for too long and the fact that everything looks so real despite it all being crazy action. And, really, it's just an awesome action scene anyway even looking past all of that. And all that is why the Avengers vs. the Chitauri is my favourite M.C.U Phase One action scene. And so, everyone, those are my picks for my top 5 actions scene in the M.C.U Phase One. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think.
