Naruto Shippuden The Movie

Remember in my first Naruto movie review I said there was one movie I found confusing? Well this is the one. I'd say the reason I found it confusing is probably because I've only seen it once and a few years ago. But rewatching it again a while ago made me understand all of it a lot better. I don't know what I found so confusing about it in the first place sense it does seem pretty straight forward. Anyway, let's get to the story. What's the story? It actually literally starts off with Naruto dying from fighting a purple energy creature and getting impaled. It then cuts to his funeral. And then it cuts to a man named Yomi releasing an evil spirit named Moryo. And when he does, indestructible stone soldiers come to life and they begin to attack a village. The Leaf Village is then informed and even Naruto is doing something. Yeah, that whole thing at the beginning with him dying was just a vision. He, Sakura, Neji and Lee are all then summoned to talk to see Tsunade who's giving them a mission to escort a princess named Shion who's a priestess with a mystical power to see people's deaths. And the scene where we see Naruto dying was actually because of a vision she had of him. The stone soldiers are then talking the place where Shion is and along with Yomi's servants, they all attack but soon Naruto, Sakura, Neji and Lee get her to safety and begin to take her to some temple of sealing where she'll be able to seal Moryo away again. And along with the help from Shion's bodyguard named Taruho they begin to head off towards the temple. And on the way Naruto learns from Shion and Taruho that he'll die at the temple and the reason why Shion is acting like a brat is because of her past. It turns out she's like him where a lot of people shunned her and treated her like an outcast because of the power she has. Yeah, does that sound familiar to you? It does to me. Like how they have to escort an important and selfish woman who's the target of the bad guy. Yeah, that sounds a lot like the first movie. But again, in this movie, it's not the subject, it's the delivery. The atmosphere and the pacing is so good that whenever something new pops up or there's a big surprise, it feels like it's a big deal. And that's because a lot of the stuff that happens is big deal. The whole world's in danger and now it's on a time limit. And on top of that the ending fight scene in the temple and the climax with Naruto and Shion against Moryo is really suspenseful with how with each move, it does almost make you think that Naruto is going to die with each move looking like it could be their last if you know what I mean. And there's even 1 scene during the fight where they actually manage to change both their destinies of dying and they defeat Moryo by combining Naruto's Rasengan with Shion's power bell. And there's also a lot of funny moments as well. The funniest scenes I found were at the beginning when Naruto and the others are still in the Leaf Village. And there's also another hilarious scene at the place where Shion lives and she and Taruho tell Naruto about him dying and so then Naruto tries to make some kind of weird stupid armour made out of scrap metal and pots and pans. So yeah, out of all the Naruto Shippuden movies I've seen, this one is probably the least of them all in my opinion. Not bad. Just not as good as the other 2 I've seen. There are amazing things here it's just I  just personally think I had more fun watching the other 2. But it's still a great movie and the things that stand out the most in here is some of the best out of all the Naruto movie. Not the best but still a great one to check out.
