My top 10 Naruto villains

So, for these next few entries, I'm going to be talking about my favourite villains from different animes like this, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fairy Tail and Dragon Ball. And so, to start it, we're going to look at the villains from Naruto first. Some of the villains here are some of the best anime villains of all time and some of the most complex, interesting and sympathetic. And so, with that, I'm going to be counting down my top 10 favourite villains from the whole show. And so, let's begin.
10. Mizuki:

Starting us off at number 10 is the very first villain in the show. That being Mizuki. When he was first introduced, he was a Leaf Village Chunin who felt like he wasn't getting enough respect, he was then hoping to use Naruto for his own goals. He's even the one who told Naruto about his past and about Kurama being inside him. I wouldn't necessarily say he's a cool villain, but, he was intimidating at the start. Also, his returning filler arc was one of the only ones I liked in the original Naruto show.
9. Danzo:

So now we get into one of the most despicable characters, if not, maybe, the most despicable character in the entire franchise. Danzo is considered by many to be the most hateable and unlikeable character out of all of the Naruto characters, and, yeah, they're not wrong. This guy is so despicable. Where to even start with him? He ruined the original Akatsuki's goal of world peace, he forced Itachi to kill the Uchiha, is technically the one responsible for ruining Naruto's childhood, endangered the entire village by not letting the messenger toad deliver the message of Pain back to Naruto and even went so far as to try to get the other Kage into voting for him as the leader of the Allied Shinobi Forces and almost killing everyone. And most of that was due to him wanting to become Hokage and controlling Kurama. And, ya know what? That's really great. Obviously not what he did, but I mean that doing all that made him really unlikable and made him a great villain.
8. Kaguya:

At number 8 is the main villain to the entire series, Kaguya. This character was finally introduced near the end of the show. While she may not of had the biggest set-up ever, she did have a vital part to play for the end of the story when it's revealed that she created Black Zetsu and it was him who's been manipulating everything that's happened to the very end. I thought, while maybe a bit cheesy and maybe a little odd, I actually really liked how everything we've seen up the end was all because of the two of them. And Kaguya herself is a very cool villain with almost god-like powers. And it's pretty cool with what she can do with teleporting to other locations, shooting spikes from her hands, transforming into a being with all the tailed beasts chakra. And I can't wait to watch the entire fight with her once it's been dubbed. She's just really cool.
7. Obito:

With Black Zetsu being the one who was controlling everything, before that, we saw that Obito was actually the one behind a lot of things happening as well. Kakashi's childhood friend and teammate, this guy had a crush on their other teammate, Rin. When on a mission, it looked like he had sacrificed himself until it was revealed that Madara saved him and gave him knowledge and told him to pretend to be him for many years. When Obito thought Kakashi killed Rin, he began to think that maybe Madara was right and began to do everything he could to make Madara's orders happen. With that, he did many things. He began to collect the tailed beast, he manipulated Nagato to do his bidding, used Kurama to destroy the Leaf Village and kill Naruto's parents and many more. And finally, at the very end, he turned back to good and become more likeable. I like him more as a good guy than a bad guy, even if he was killed afterwards, but still, he was pretty cool as a villain.
6. Kidōmaru:

One of the members of the Sound Ninja Five, out of all of them, Kidōmaru is my favourite. Not only do I think he's the most creative out of the five, but his character's also kinda entertaining and he's a really violent character, as we saw in his fight with Neji during the Sasuke Retrieval Mission. A sorta half man/half spider character, he has spider-like abilities with different creative ones like being able to solidify his web-like substance into a strong weapon. He's also really smart and knows his way around a fight. And, when I was younger, his fight with Neji was one of the most brutal I had ever seen up until that point.
5. Kabuto:

One of the more long-going villains in the series, Kabuto is also one of the smartest Naruto villains ever. After being taken in by the Leaf Village as a young boy and spending time with Orochimaru, he sided with him and decided to help him achieve his goals. During the first Chunin Exam, he posed as a Leaf shinobi to gather information on Naruto and Sasuke in particular. After it's revealed he's a villain, Kabuto becomes pretty despicable in a lot of situations with him being very cunning and great with Ninjutsu, especially medical Ninjutsu. He's also the first person Naruto ever used a Rasengan on. Not only that, but when Orochimaru was absorbed by Sasuke, Kabuto absorbed a bit of him too with caused him to become part of Orochimaru too. And with that, he became one of biggest parts of the Fourth Great Ninja War with using the Reanimation Jutsu and reviving Madara.
4. Zabuza and Haku:

Now we get into the first really big villains in the show, Zabuza and Haku. When Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi had their first proper mission with transporting Tazuna back to the Hidden Mist Village, they meet Zabuza, one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist along side Haku. Haku was the one who taught Naruto everything he cares about now and it meant a lot to him and Haku was known as kind of a friend to Naruto. And when Naruto is telling Zabuza about how much he meant to Haku, Zabuza's speech and death along side Haku is still one of  saddest and heartbreaking in the series.
3. Orochimaru:

When it comes to Naruto villains, Orochimaru is easily the most popular and well known. The first real villain in the show, Orochimaru's powers are non-human with him being half snake. A genius with lots of knowledge, he was once a Leaf ninja and one of the legendary Sanin like Jiraiya and Tsunade. But after desiring to know every single jutsu there is, he went rogue and became a criminal. A super powerful ninja with different types of jutsus he made himself. He launched the destruction of the Leaf, was the one responsible for the Third Hokage's death, tempted Sasuke to leave the village t try to get his Sharingan, caused Naruto to go into Tailed Beast form stage 4 and was the one who helped Sasuke bring back the four previous Hokage for the Fourth Great Ninja War. At the time when it looked like he was the main villain for the series, he was really cool and was a great adversary for them. He's also really entertaining. And I mean he's such a great villain that he entertains you because of how great a villain he is.
2. Madara:

Coming in close to number 1 is the villain that's often credited as the best Naruto villain ever, and that's Madara Uchiha. Being one of founders of the Leaf Village, this man was planning ahead even for a century and after he died. Before he died, he manipulated Obito and was the one behind a lot of the events that transpired in the series. Sure, it was mainly Black Zetsu doing all the planning, but Madara was the one who orchestrated a lot of the events too like setting everything together with the plan to use his Infinite Tsukuyomi. His powers are like Kaguya with being god-like and he's super cunning as well with many plans up his sleeve. And with even more reasons with him, Madara is easily one of the top 3 best Naruto villains ever.
And my number 1 favourite Naruto villain is... Nagato:

And finally at number 1 is the villain that I doubt many of you are surprised is here, that being Nagato. I say that because I already explained how Nagato is my favourite anime villain back when I made my top 5 anime villains. And, yeah, he still stands as that. I think Nagato is a great and really sympathetic villain with a really tragic backstory that you can completely understand. Unlike other villains who are bad just because they're bad, Nagato has reasons for ding this and even though you don't condone his actions, you understand and sympathise with him. And even after he's reanimated and is under Kabuto's control, you feel sorry for him because of what he's doing because you know he's being forced to do it. Read my top 5 anime villains list to get my better thoughts on him. And all that is why Nagato is my favourite Naruto villain ever. Thank you all for reading and please comment down below to tell me what you think or, if you like Naruto, please tell me who your favourite villain is.
