My top 10 Dragon Ball Z characters

Continuing my entries of my favourite characters from anime is Dragon Ball Z. This show's cast of characters are probably the most iconic characters in anime history. And so now, I'm going to be counting down my favourite characters from it. From the main characters, to the supporting cast to the villains just like in all these count downs. And so, let's begin and I hope you all like this.
10. Cell:

Starting us off is the smooth and cool villain so late in the show, Cell. Being created by Dr. Gero with the cells of different warriors around the universe, Cell managed to form into the perfect being by absorbing Gero's other creations like Andriod #17 and #18. He created the Cell games and found himself fighting many different fighters but eventually was defeated and destroyed by Gohan after killing Goku.
9. Hercule Satan:

This fighter proclaimed himself as the strongest fighter ever and he even tried to prove it in by entering the Cell Games. He provides the show with some hilarious scenes and he is one egotistical guy. He takes the victories of  lot of characters. While he isn't strong, he's certainly the number 1 biggest loveable idiot of the show.
8. Future Trunks:

The second this character appeared on screen, he wasted no time at all. He immediately cut through Frieza and his forces with no effort. Being the son of Vegeta and Bulma, he has Saiyan blood running through his veins. He never messes around and was later born as a young boy. And, yeah, he was pretty good there, but nothing can beat the original time we saw him.
7. Ox King:

This huge giant is the Ox King as well as the father of Chi-Chi, the father in law of Goku and Gohan's grandfather. While he was originally a greedy and selfish character who wanted to use Goku to get more money, he eventually changed into a loveable and caring character. He also adds a lot of heart and comedy to the show as well.
6. Frieza:

Next up is the greatest Dragon Ball Z villain of all time. This was one of the earliest villains in the show. He has never been a joke. He murders innocent people like it's nothing. He even blew up the planet Vegeta full of Saiyans. He fought some of the best fighters ever and had them in a lot of trouble, even Goku. It only took the power of a Super Saiyan to finally defeat and his first death was one of the most satisfying and brutal scenes in the whole show.

5. Gohan:

When you're the son of Goku, the strongest fighter of all time, you have a long way to go. While originally just a young studying bookworm because of Chi-Chi, Gohan becomes one of the strongest characters ever. And when his friends or innocent people are in danger, he won't hesitate to step in a stop whoever it is that causing it.
4. Krillin:

This short bald Z fighter monk is the best friend of Goku. Meeting Goku at a young age, Krillin and him kicked it off really well together as friends. And while Krillin lacks height, he makes up for it in spirit, fighting style and power. A very fun and friendly character, Krillin has been beloved and one of the best characters in the whole show ever since the beginning.
3. Piccolo:

Next up is the first villain in the Dragon Ball universe that Goku ever faced, Piccolo. When he was introduced, he was aiming to destroy humans and especially kill Goku. But after having a change of heart, he turned good and in Dragon Ball Z, at the beginning, he was the mentor to Gohan as a young kid. Being his mentor brought out the softer and kinder side to Piccolo that was the best part of him. Now one of Goku's best allies and close friends, he'll do anything to help people.
2. Vegeta:

Coming in close to number 1 is the prince of Sayians and rival to Goku, Vegeta. The moment this guy first appeared on screen, he was immediately beloved by a ton of fans. A sort of anti-hero for the show, he was originally a villain raised on the actual planet Vegeta and was put to work by Frieza to do whatever he wanted. As he got older, he began to think about rebelling against Frieza and planning to one day kill him. After learning the tragedy that Frieza was the one who destroyed his planet, he made it a goal to kill him. Now the husband of Bulma, father of Trunks and rival to Goku, this guy will never cease to be awesome.
And my number 1 favourite Dragon Ball Z character is... Goku:

I know, but I couldn't change the fact that Goku is the best Dragon Ball character of all time. A friendly and even kinda stupid character at times, this optimist will always be his loveable and hungry self. No matter who or what the opponent is, Goku will have no hesitation in wanting to fight them in order to save everyone. While not the most brightest of characters ever, he sure is a lot of fun and a great fighter. Even when he found out Beerus, the god of destruction was on Earth, he really wanted to fight him. Goku will face whatever obstacles stand in his way with nonstop optimism and his fists in tact. We love ya Goku. Please don't change the way you are. And so everyone, those are my top 10 favourite Dragon Ball Z characters.
